Cottage Profile
Conveniently located, 1000 square foot, 4 bedroom cottage located
on a quiet dead end road at the tip of the Bruce on the dividing
line between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. This cottage is just
9 km from the town Tobermory and all the activities it has to offer.
Two large lake side decks provide for a panoramic view of the Archipelago
Islands of Fathom Five National Marine Park. From this location
one gets beautiful sunsets and a magnificent view.
All the living area of the cottage is located on one floor. The
living area has large windows that face the lake, a couch, two chairs,
27 inch television with satellite receiver, stereo system with CD
player and large stone fireplace. There is plenty of seating to
accommodate everyone in your party.
Adjacent to the living room is the dining area with natural wood table
and six chairs.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave
oven and plenty of cupboard and counter space.
There are four bedrooms, two with a queen's, one with a double,
one with two singles and one with a set of bunk beds and one single
bed.
The cottage is surrounded by trees which provides a private setting.
Past renters have caught lake trout and salmon while fishing off the
shore.
Tobermory is short distance away (9 km), where you can stroll through
the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful
natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks,
lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard
the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular.
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10
minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara
Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron.
Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are
informative and entertaining.
