Raised, three bedroom water front cottage located on beautiful China
Cove, Lake Huron.
This 1200 square foot cottage has all its living area located on the
second floor. The living room, dinning room and kitchen are all located
in one large room.
The living room area has large glass windows facing the lake, two couches,
two rocking chairs, a stereo system, television, Video Library, and
stone fireplace as its centre piece.
Adjacent to the living room is the dinning area with a table and chairs
suitable to sit six comfortably.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave
oven. There is plenty of counter and cupboard space for those that like
to cook and there is also a breakfast bar for morning meals.
Beside the main living area are three bedrooms, a three piece bathroom
and laundry room with washer and dryer.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and onsuite three piece bathroom.
The second bedroom has a double bed and the third a set of bunk beds,
there is also a fold out sofa bed.
Out side the cottage, the property gently slopes towards the lake.
On the lake side of the cottage is a 6 foot by 25 foot deck with
a great view of the lake. The shoreline consists of flat undulating
limestone rock with some rubble. At the waters edge, the entry into
the lake is shallow and consists of flat limestone bottom, swim
shoes are recommended.
You can view the islands of Fathom Five National Park and world famous
sunsets over Lake Huron from the shoreline.
The road side of the cottage has a covered shade deck with gas barbeque.
Tobermory is short distance away (2 km), where you can stroll through
the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful
natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks,
lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard
the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular.
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10
minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara
Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron.
Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are
informative and entertaining.
