Cottage Profile
Compact, two bedroom, 900 square foot waterfront cottage conveniently
located at Indian Harbour on Lake Huron. A five minute drive to
all the activities that Tobermory has to offer, in a quieter setting.
The interior of the cottage is finished in pine panelling for a
traditional cottage look. Large windows on the lake side of the
cottage provides a view of the water from the comfort of the cottage.
The main living area of the cottage has a large field stone fireplace
as the focal point. A couch, coffee table, and two chairs surround
the fireplace creating a comfortable place to relax and unwind after
a day of hiking. The television with satellite is a treat on a rainy
day.
Adjacent to the living room is the dining area which contains a
table and chairs that can sit six comfortably. A door beside the
dining area leads out to a 300 square foot wooden deck where a patio
table and chairs are arranged for your outdoor eating enjoyment..
This deck has a beautiful view of the lake and is a great place
to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.
The cottage kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, oven and
microwave, for your convenience during your summer holidays.
There are two bedrooms at the cottage. The first has a queen sized
bed and the other has a double. For additional sleeping space when
required, the couch in the living are pulls out into a double sofa
bed.
The bathroomis located off the main living area and is a three
piece with shower, sink and toilet.
The cottage is located at the end of a dead-end road, and has only
one neighbour, who is located approximately 70 feet away. On the other
side is a large natural pond where kids can have fun exploring wildlife
such as frogs, blue herons, and ducks.
A trail leads from the cottage to the beach. Beside the lake, at
the edge of the tree line, is a 200 square foot deck with an unobstructed
view of Lake Huron. This is a great place to watch our world-famous
sunsets, or to watch the kids play at the waters edge.
The flat rock shoreline permits an easy, gradual entry into the water.
Sometimes the rocks can be slippery, so swim shoes are recommended.
The village of Tobermory is only a short drive away. There you will
find a grocery store, liquor store, a variety of restaurants, and lots
of interesting little stores where you can go shopping. Have a picnic
lunch at the Big Tub Harbour lighthouse. Take a boat tour to view the
shipwrecks in Fathom Five National Marine Park; take a boat ride to
to go hiking on Flower Pot Island ; or simply spend a relaxing day at
the beach.
