"Forest View " is a newly constructed Log Cabin that offers year round rentals, located on 20 acres of hardwood forest just 10 km outside the village of Tobermory.
This open concept log cabin has laminate floors, pine log and tongue
and groove walls throughout, giving you that authentic cottage feel.
All of the solid pine furniture inside this cottage is made locally
by a Mennonite family. The living room has two couches and a coffee
table and a flat screen High def TV.
The brand new kitchen is fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances.
Fridge, stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, and breakfast bar with
two stools to make preparing meals easy. Also there is plenty of
The brightly lit sunroom hosts the large wooden table and six chairs
and offers great views of the outdoors while you enjoy your meals.
The upstairs loft features two of the four bedrooms, known as "the
kids area". One bedroom upstairs has two single beds and the
other bedroom has a set of bunkbeds with a double on the bottom
and a single on top. Both of these upper level bedrooms have a dresser.
There is also a 3 piece washroom on this level.
The other two other bedrooms are located on the lower level of
the cottage. Both having Queen size beds, pine log walls, windows
and a closet.
Off of the sunroom a set of patio doors leads you out to the stone
patio to take in the rich views of the hardwood forest. You can
spend your afternoon relaxing in the sun reading a book. A propane
BBQ is provided for your outside dining pleasure. Also a patio table
The cottage is located in a private setting and is completely screened from neighboring properties. A long winding driveway takes you through the trees to "Forest View"
A firepit is here for you you to roast marshmallows or hot dogs under a starry nighttime sky. Look for the big dipper or the milky way while telling stories around the campfire.
For the children, Singing Sands Public Beach is only a 3 km drive
away. The Dorcas Bay Nature Reserve is also located in this area.
Hike some of the prettiest trails aroundTobermory.
Tobermory is short a distance away (10 km), where you can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular.
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream.
A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara
Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron.
Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are
both informative and entertaining.
