This child friendly, three bedroom waterfront cottage is located on the shores of Eagle Harbor on Lake Huron, one of the more scenic bays on the lake.
This cottage is a perfect getaway for both relaxation and outdoor activities within a breathtaking environment.
The cottage has a crisp lake house decor finished in a white wash over tongue and grove walls with hardwood flooring throughout. A floor to ceiling wood burning stone fireplace is the focal point of this beautiful room, it also adds warmth to the cottage on a cool evening. Large living room windows provide incredible views of the lake. This living area also has a couch, four arm chairs and a lamp for reading.
Leading from the living area is a compact kitchen,
which is well equipped with a fridge, stove, and microwave.
The eat in dining area with seating for six, is located directly beside the picture window providing a beautiful view of the lake. There is a door off of these rooms that lead you out to the lakeside stone patio.
The laundry room has a washer and dryer.
The cottage has three bedrooms; the first bedroom has a queen bed and the second has a set of bunkbeds with a double on the bottom and a single on the top. The third has two singles.
The bathroom contains a sink, toilet and shower.
A small sitting area is off of the living room, and
provides a 49" TV with Blu_Ray player for the young children
in your party.
The lakeside patio by the cottage sits in the sun all morning and through to midday and is a wonderful place to relax, read, and eat your meals while watching the waves roll in. This patio has furniture for your relaxation, including a table which seats 4 with a large umbrella for shade.
The flat shoreline allows for shallow entry into the lake making it a safe place for kids to swim. The lake water is amazingly clear for excellent snorkeling. For more water fun, the cottage comes equipped with two kayaks, and lifejackets. Swim shoes are recommended.
Tobermory is a short distance away ( 10 km ). You
can stroll through the shops, visit the library, restaurants and
see the beautiful natural harbour. Scenic boat cruises to view shipwrecks
and lighthouses are available daily and a trip to Flowerpot Island
is a must for all who visit! Dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun
are also very popular and if that's not to your liking, there are
many places to eat in town where you can watch the beautiful sunsets
and converse with friends.
Don't forget to try the delectable butter tarts at the Bakery!
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area
is a dream come true. Guided tours along the Niagara Escarpment
and the shores of Dorcas Bay on Lake Huron are available just a
10-minute drive away. Amphitheater programs presented at Cyprus
Lake by Parks Canada staff are informative and entertaining for
all ages. The new tower at the National Park's Visitor Centre in
Tobermory offers a view of Georgian Bay that is a must for any photographer.
