This is your opportunity to experience rural living in a 1200 square
foot log home that sits on 26 acres of hardwood forest. This private and
peaceful property is centrally located on the Bruce Peninsula, just a
30 minute drive from Tobermory, Bruce Peninsula National Park and the
Your vacation begins when you step onto the large wrap-around porch to
enter the cottage. Picture yourself enjoying a great read and your morning
coffee on this shaded porch.
There is a real country feel when you enter. The antique and rustic furniture in the cottage evokes a relaxed atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The main living area has cathedral ceilings with an antler chandelier that hangs from the ceiling. You can watch the Flat Screen TV with satellite and DVD player. This room has a couch and chair and solid oak rocking chair for seating.
The country kitchen is equipped with a Farmhouse sink, white cabinetry, refrigerator/freezer and stove with oven. Your family can enjoy great conversations over dinner at the large harvest table that can comfortably seat 8.
This is a 2 bedroom cottage with a loft for extra sleeping space. The
two bedrooms each have a queen sized bed and upstairs in the loft you
will find a queen and 2 single beds.
There is one 4 piece bathroom with tub and shower.
The spacious yard provides lots of room for the children to run and play while you sit on the porch and watch. There are 2 swings for the kids and an outdoor firepit where you can enjoy roasting marshmallows and talking about the day's events.
There are lots of activities for the whole family on the Bruce Peninsula. There are several sand beaches within 20km of the cottage if you're wanting a day at the beach with the kids. Access to the Bruce Trail is just 7 km away. Here you can hike to the shores of Georgian Bay where you can experience fantastic views from atop the Niagara Escarpment. Don't miss the Devil's Monument and make sure to pack a shore lunch.
