Completely renovated in 2018 - Bright and beautiful 3 bedroom south facing waterfront cottage located on Docas Bay with 100 feet of private shoreline on Lake Huron.
Inside this newly renovated cottage is an open concept kitchen (with brand new fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher) and living /dining area with harvest table to seat 6 and 2 large sofas and wood burning fireplace for lounging day and night. A 10ft sliding glass door offers easy access to the large wrap around deck (completed in 2017) and uninterrupted views of Lake Huron.
Outside on the main wrap around deck you will find a large patio table with umbrella (seating 6), 2 muskoka chairs, 2 reclining loungers and propane BBQ area for wonderful afternoons eating, relaxing and soaking up the sun. As you move off of the deck towards the lake along a raised walk way you will find a large fire pit area surrounded by hand crafted log benches and a second large deck (20’x17’) with 4 muskoka chairs and side tables â an excellent spot to enjoy the lake views, sun and fresh lake breezes. Continuing down the walkway, you end on a third small deck with 2 muskoka chairs - the perfect spot to enjoy sunrises and sunsets or to supervise an afternoon of fun in the water!
Back inside you will find 3 bedrooms. Lakeside is a well appointed master bedroom with queen bed and sliding doors for private access to the large deck. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third has a set of single bunk beds. All of the bedrooms are bright and clean with windows to allow for fresh lake breezes day and night.
At the shoreline there are flat rocks that permit for an easy, gradual entry into the clean, weed free water that’s great for swimming, frog and crayfish hunting or just exploring. Use one of the 4 (2 large, 2 small) sit on kayaks provided to get out on the water for a relaxing paddle along the pristine shoreline.
The large outdoor fire pit with hand crafted log benches will give you the opportunity to enjoy the starry night sky while roasting marsh mellows over the wood burning campfire. The perfect spot for creating memories.
The village of Tobermory is only a short drive away. There you will find unique shops, restaurants, a grocery store and a beautiful natural harbor from which boat tours can take you out into Fathom Five National Marine Park, over to Flower Pot Island or out for an afternoon on a glass bottom boat tour of shipwrecks and marine life. 10km along Dorcas Bay Rd you also have very easy access to the famous Singing Sands Beach (part of Bruce Peninsula National Park) for swimming, hiking and family exploration.
PLEASE NOTE: The cottage is going over complete renovations during the 2018 winter months and new photos will follow in the spring.
