Cottage Profile
Spacious five bedroom, 1800 square foot, executive log chalet located
on the spectacular shores of Georgian Bay just north of Lion's Head
on Isthmus Bay.
This fully equipped cottage has all the appointments necessary
for a truly comfortable cottage experience. The main living area
on the main floor of the cottage has six windows that overlook the
waters of Georgian Bay, with a the focal point of the room being
the beautiful stone fireplace. A leather couch and loveseat provide
a comfortable place to relax and unwind while enjoying the view.
The kitchen at the cottage has all the appointments necessary for
your convenience including a fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher.
A dining room table provides seating for all eight in the party,
and a small breakfast bar is a place for a casual meal or quick
snack.
Also on the main floor is a two piece bathroom as well as a bedroom
with double bed.
On the ground floor of the cottage you will find a rec room with
satellite television, DVD player and VCR. A large sectional provides
comfortable seating and is an excellent place to relax on a rainy
day. A second fireplace is located on the ground level, and provides
plenty of room for everyone in the party to unwind and enjoy quiet
time. This set up is particularly convenient for groups with older
children.
Also on the ground floor is the sauna. This is the perfect way
to relax after a day of hiking local trails, and a great way to
warm up after a swim in Georgian Bay
The third storey of the cottage has four bedrooms and a bathroom.
Two of the rooms have two singles, one room has a double, and the
fourth room as one single and one double. A four piece bathroom
is also located on this floor. A small landing at the top of the
stairs provides a loveseat and a telescope for adults in the party
to enjoy looking at the stars at night.
The cottage is perched on top of a small escarpment, There are multi-level
decks beside the lake. The largest deck on the lake front has two picnic
tables, a large cooler to keep your beverages cool and lots of chairs.
The view from this deck is nothing less than spectacular.
The shoreline consists of flat limestone rock that extends for miles.
The water at the shore's edge is deep and excellent for snorkeling
and diving.
The Lion's Head beach is a great way to spend the day. This sandy
beach has a gradual entry into the water with a swim raft. Also
here at the beach there is a volleyball net, playground equipment,
and a swing set for the children.
There are also a variety of golf courses in the area. Lion's Head
has its own driving range and the Tobermory golf course has "Mini
Putt" for the children.
There is excellent deep water fishing for salmon and trout in the area.
