A beautiful waterfront cottage with spectacular
lake views. Just a 1 1/2 hours drive from Toronto and less than
30 minutes from downtown Orillia, this updated all-season vacation
home offers panoramic water views and the serenity of cottage life.
Situated on the shores of Lake Dalrymple, this 1350 sq ft, four
bedroom, two bathroom cottage features 97 feet of private shoreline,
a large grassed yard, spacious rear deck and beautiful morning sunrises.
It is the perfect spot for a comfortable and relaxing family vacation.
The cottage is set back about 60 feet from the road with a grassed
front yard. Inside, the air conditioned cottage, is fully equipped
and attractively furnished with an upscale decor. Upon entering
the cottage you will find a spacious, clean, bright kitchen with
stainless steel appliances, and a dining area. The kitchen is well
equipped with a fridge and freezer, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher,
toaster, coffee maker, kettle, tea pot, water cooler, pots and pans,
dishes and cutlery. There is a window over the kitchen sink looking
out to the front yard.
In the dining area the table comfortably seats six people and there is a patio door leading to a small side deck that connects to a large rear deck. The dining area overlooks the living room and provides lake views while dining.
In the cozy living room there is a gas fireplace, 40” satellite TV and Blu-Ray DVD player with two comfortable full size sofas for you to enjoy a family movie night, watch the game or just simply relax. A patio door from the living room leads to the rear outdoor deck. The large picture windows and patio door in the living room offer spectacular lake views.
The rear deck is a great spot for taking advantage of the water view, watching passing boats, catching up with family members, and relaxing with a good book and/or your favourite holiday beverage. It is also perfect for the early birds in your group to enjoy a quiet morning coffee while watching the sunrise.
There is a natural gas BBQ for grilling up some feasts, a patio
table with umbrella and 6 chairs, and ‘pub style’ seating
for 4 that overlooks the large rear grassed yard and lake. After
you have grilled your favourite vacation meal you can sit down to
enjoy a family outdoor dinner while taking in the beautiful water
On the main level there is one 4-piece bathroom (sink, toilet, tub and shower) and three bedrooms, all with large bright windows and one with a two piece (sink/toilet) ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has the ensuite bathroom, a queen bed, and picture window with water view. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has a double bed.
On the lower level there is den with TV, 2 chairs and a love seat, a fourth bedroom with bunk beds, and a washer and dryer to take care of any laundry needs during your stay at the cottage.
Outside there is large grassed rear yard leading to the shore. The rear yard is a great place for kids to play. Be sure to bring your outdoor yard games. There is also a children’s play set with a slide and swing. It’s just a short stroll to the water and 60 foot dock where you can catch some rays or relax with a good book and take in the great panoramic view.
The water depth increases gradually for swimming or just splashing around. The water depth at the end of the dock about 6 feet and there is a ladder to climb back up onto the dock. The shore is a great spot to launch your canoe or kayak if you have one. If not there is a kayak and canoe with paddles and a SUP (stand up paddle) board available for your use at the cottage. At the shore there is a fire pit and 6 muskoka chairs available for evening campfires, taking in the starry night sky, roasting marshmallows, and storytelling at the end of the day.
If you want to get out and explore the area, the cottage is close to many area shopping, dining, entertainment and attractions including downtown Orillia and Casino Rama Resort. Whether it is lazy days in the sun while taking occasional dips in the lake, heading out to dinner, taking in a show or trying your hand at the tables, there is something for everyone to do.
