This three bedroom, waterfront cottage is located on the shores of Sky Lake just north of the town of Wiarton and close to popular Sauble Beach.
Sky Lake is the feeder lake for the Rankin River system that connects
near-by Isaac Lake with Boat Lake and offers superb kayaking, canoeing,
nature watching and, of course, fishing.
This one storey cottage has 1000 square feet of living area. The cottage has comfortable furnishings and is nicely decorated.
The living room furnishings include a leather couch, and chair, a television with DVD, VCR, and CD player. This area provides beautiful views of the lake.
The dining room is located beside the living room and contains a table that can sit four comfortably.
Adjacent to the dining room is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge,
stove, microwave oven, and some small appliances. There is ample
cupboard and counter space.
The adorable sunroom provides a bright and cheery place for kids
to enjoy board games and the air hockey table.
There are three bedrooms in the cottage, two with double beds and
the third bedroom has two single beds. The cottage has a three piece
bathroom with shower.
A great feature of this cottage is the large lakeside deck providing a panoramic view of the lake. A patio table and chairs are provided for your outdoor dining enjoyment. There is also more patio furniture provided down by the lake.
The property slopes gradually down to the water where you will
find a 16 foot long dock where you can enjoy the cool breezes coming
off the lake.Water depth at the end of the dock is 2 feet. From
there the water depth increases gradually, good for kayaking, not for swimming.
The Bruce Trail is the oldest marked hiking trail in Canada and
is over 845 kilometers long. As part of the Niagara Escarpment,
it was declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in 1990. Also nearby
are the world famous beaches at Sauble and Red Bay, the historic
Lighthouses along the shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay as well
as excellent summer cycling routes and winter snowmobile trails.
There is also plenty of peace and quiet for those who just want
to relax and enjoy nature.
