Executive Waterfront Vacation Home
Located on beautiful Lake Simcoe at Cook's Bay and less than one
hour from downtown Toronto. This newly renovated and updated waterfront
vacation home is an ideal destination for a quick and convenient
escape from the city.
The area is a favourite year round holiday destination. With 3,000 square foot, 3 + 1 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 75 feet of sandy bottom Lake Simcoe shoreline, this property provides ample amenities and space for families or small groups to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing vacation any time of the year.
The modern 3-level air conditioned year round waterfront home is
fully equipped and attractively furnished with an upscale decor,
2 fireplaces, and gleaming hardwood floors that provide a warm and
welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of large bright windows offering
great waterfront and sunset views and a large games room where you
can enjoy some friendly competition playing pool, darts and table
On the main level there is a good size main entry with plenty of
closets, and a spacious open concept living, dining and kitchen
area. There is also one bedroom with a double bed, large family
room and 2 bathrooms (one is a 3-piece toilet/sink/shower and the
other is a 4-piece toilet/sink/shower/Jacuzzi tub). You can cook
simple fare to gourmet in the clean modern kitchen that features
large windows, water view, tile floor, ivory cabinetry and stainless
steel appliances. For meal time seating the choices include the
kitchen nook table and 4 chairs, and a harvest style dining table
that easily seats 6 people.
A patio door from the dining area leads to the rear deck. The dining
and living room areas share a wood burning stove. The living area
features large bright windows, a comfortable L-shaped leather sofa
arranged to take full advantage of the water view, coffee table
and a 50" Smart TV with cable.
Perfect for socializing, enjoying a family movie night, watching the game or just simply relaxing. For your convenience there is high speed Wireless Internet, free Canada wide (except 867) call, central vacuum, and a washer and dryer to take care of any laundry needs during your stay. On the main level there is also a spacious family room with large bright windows looking out to the front yard, a gas fireplace and two double pull out sofa beds that allow this room to also function as an additional bedroom if needed.
On the second level there are 2 bedrooms and a 4 piece bathroom (toilet/sink/walk-in tub shower). Each of these bedrooms has a queen bed and a chair that’s perfect for some quiet time with your favorite book.
On the third level you will find the large open games room with a love seat and two chairs for relaxing, skylights and a patio door that offers lake views and access to a small private balcony. This is a great place to hang out and socialize with family and friends shoot some pool, play darts, or use the alternate pool table top to convert this for table tennis play.
Outside, the large level grassed rear yard offers plenty of space
for kids to play so be sure to bring some yard games along. The
rear deck with table, umbrella and 6 patio chairs is perfect for
outdoor dining, catching some sun, taking advantage of the lake
views, watching passing boats, socializing, relaxing with your book
and/or favourite vacation beverage. There is a propane BBQ for grilling,
6 Muskoka chairs and a patio two-seater swing for relaxing. It just
a short walk to the shore where you will find a fire pit for evening
campfires, marshmallow roasting, and taking in some of the nicest
sunsets. The water depth increases gradually for swimming or just
splashing around. Kayaks are provided for your use.
There are several local parks in the area that offer a sandy beach,
picnic tables, picnic shelter and children’s play equipment
and Sibbald Point Provincial Park is a recreational park covering
225 hectares with sandy beaches, shady picnic areas, and forested
hiking trails. Be sure to check out the ROC (Recreational Outdoor
Campus) which combines sports and adventure based activities including
a BMX bike track, rope courses, zipline, and splash pad in the summer,
and in the winter you can ski, snowboard, go tubing or bring your
toboggan. A short drive away is the full service towns of Sutton
and Keswick with dining, shopping and day-today convenience goods.
