Are you looking for a quick and convenient get-away from the city. This Lake Simcoe vacation home is just one hour from downtown Toronto. The property provides ample amenities and space for families or small groups to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing vacation any time of the year.
The two storey 2,800 square foot, year round home is set back about
100 feet from the road and features an updated interior with a modern
decor, 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is conveniently located within
a 4 minute drive to a lovely waterfront park/beach.
The front door takes you into a large bright sunroom that is a great spot to enjoy some quiet time relaxing with your favourite book. From the sunroom two sets of double French doors lead to a spacious open living room area with wood floors that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a gas fireplace, satellite TV, two ceiling fans and plenty of comfortable seating with a leather sofa, coffee table and four occasional chairs - perfect for socializing, enjoying a family movie night, or just simply relaxing. For your convenience there is high speed Wireless Internet.
A set of French doors take you from the living room area into the dining room with a dining table, six chairs and a patio door to access the rear yard outdoor deck.
The kitchen is conveniently located next to the dining room. You can cook simple fare to gourmet in the bright, clean, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The kitchen comes well equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, tea pot, dishes and cutlery.
On the main level there is also a 4-piece bathroom (toilet/sink/shower/claw foot tub) and 2 bedrooms (one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed). On the second level there are 4 bedrooms (two with queen beds and two with double beds), and a 3-piece bathroom (toilet/sink/tub).
For your convenience there is also a washer and dryer to take care of any laundry needs during your stay.
Outside, the large level grassed yard offers plenty of space for kids to play so be sure to bring some yard games along. There is an elevated outdoor deck at the front and one at the rear for relaxing, an outdoor table, a propane BBQ for grilling your favourite vacation meals, and a rear yard fire pit for evening campfires, marshmallow roasting, and story-telling.
It’s just a short 4 minute drive to Max Beach at North Gwillimbury Park where you can enjoy a Lake Simcoe waterfront park/beach.
There are several other local parks in the area that offer a sandy beach, picnic tables, picnic shelter and children’s play equipment. Sibbald Point Provincial Park is a recreational park covering 225 hectares with sandy beaches, shady picnic areas, and forested hiking trails. Be sure to check out the ROC (Recreational Outdoor Campus) which combines sports and adventure based activities including a BMX bike track, rope courses, zipline, and splash pad in the summer, and in the winter you can ski, snowboard, go tubing or bring your toboggan. A short drive away is the full service towns of Sutton and Keswick with dining, shopping and day-today convenience goods.
