This adorable 1500 sq. ft. “A-Frame” cottage has 3
bedrooms plus a Bunkie, and sits on 5 acres of land. Located just
1km from the shores of Whiskey Harbour on Lake Huron, this private
cottage is set in a quiet and serene location, surrounding you with
nature and letting you escape the city. During the day, enjoy swimming
at “The Rocks” of Whiskey Harbour, and in the evening
watch the magnificent sunset. At night you can admire the stars
and Milky Way, since this cottage sits on the Northern Bruce Peninsula’s

The 5 acres includes a large green area for children to play soccer, badminton, or take advantage of the horseshoe pits provided. A trail at the back of the green space, takes you into the forest to explore more of what nature offers; mushrooms, mosses, many bird species, and deer. Next to the Bunkie is a wood shed with a covered picnic area including a propane and charcoal BBQ, allowing you to cook up an easy summer feast.
Inside the cottage, the main living area has 2 futons and 3 reclining
arm chairs, surrounding the wood burning fireplace. Tin ceilings
provide a unique look for this area, and an overhead fan helps keep
the air cool and circulating. A TV is available, along with DVD
and Blu-Ray player, PS4, Xbox 360, NES and SNES Classic (for the
gamers in the family). Also, Chromecast is available so you can
cast videos such as Netflix to the TV. A radio, Sirius XM and a
record player allow you to listen to your favorite tunes. Board
games, chess, Sci-fi novels and nature books are available to entertain
you on a rainy day. For clear nights, the telescope can be used
to get a closer look at the stars (following telescope instructions),
although a short trip to Lion’s Head for their “Bayside
Astronomy” program is recommended for the star struck (offered
free to the public on Friday and Saturday nights from Canada Day

On the main level, an efficient kitchen has many of the amenities
of home including a fridge, stove/double oven, toaster, microwave,
and dishwasher. A large dining table in the kitchen seats 6, and
the sunroom off the kitchen can handle overflow with additional
seating for 8.
The main level of the cottage has a full bathroom with a tub/shower
combination. The second level has two bedrooms, one with a Queen
bed and a Single, and the second bedroom has a Bunkbed (double on
bottom and single on top). The third bedroom is in the loft, with
a double bed and a single bed.
The Bunkie boasts a beautiful private oasis for those that want
to escape from the cottage. A Queen bed with mini-TV with VHS player
and a selection of old-school tapes, gives a little technological
nostalgia and is a great place for the kids watch movies.
Out on the lawn is a fire pit to have a family campfire. The property is well screened by trees, giving you privacy while you enjoy the outdoor space.
The cottage is located less than a 10 min walk to “The Rocks”
a public access point onto the shores of Lake Huron. The shoreline
is mostly flat rock, with gradual entry and great swimming opportunities.
This is a favorite swimming location among kids and teens for the
thrills of jumping off the rocks into deeper waters. This location
also offers spectacular sunsets, so bring a lawn chair and relax
at the rocks. The cottage’s central location on the Bruce
Peninsula makes it an ideal ‘base camp’ for many attractions
on the Bruce. Sauble Beach is approx. a 30 min drive, while the
Bruce Peninsula National Park featuring Cyprus Lake and “The
Grotto” is also approx. a 30 min drive away. Katemma’s
Diner is a 10 min walk away, for those that would like a break from
cooking (their breakfasts and Sunday night dinners are not to be
missed!), and the towns of Lion’s Head, Wiarton, and Tobermory
are also short drives, making it easy to go shopping or have a fun
