Three bedroom water front cottage located on Big Tub Harbour in
Tobermory just 2 km from down town and only .5 km from Big Tub Lighthouse.
Big Tub Harbour is a beautiful deep water harbour popular for scuba
diving and snorkeling. Two shipwrecks are within 300 metres of the
front of the cottage. Bring your mask, snorkel, and flippers to
explore the wrecks. Or better yet explore the protected harbour
The cottage has an interior area of approximately 1000 square feet
and its entire living area is contained on one storey.
The interior of the cottage has original pine paneling, cathedral
ceilings and large windows facing the lake.
The large living room of the cottage has big bay windows providing
a magnificent view of Big Tub Harbour, this room contains a couch, two chairs and
two swivel chairs that can either face the harbour, interior of
the room or the television
Adjacent to the living room is the dining room with table and seating for six. Patio doors lead
out from dining room to a 100 square foot deck over looking the
harbour. This deck has a patio set with table and chairs and market umberella.
Next to the dining room is the kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and plenty of cupboards.
The cottage has three bedrooms, with one queen, one double and
two twins. There is a small three piece bathroom with shower.
To the side of the cottage is a patio area with BBQ, Muskoka chairs and outdoor fireplace.
Take the stairs down to the water, gradual entry however it does get deep quickly and is great for swimming.
The cottage is located at the end of a winding driveway and cannot
be seen from the road.
It is only 2 km from the scenic Village of Tobermory where you
can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library,
restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic
boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot
Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular.
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream.
A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara
Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron.
Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are
informative and entertaining.
