Manitouwabing Lake got its name from the Ojibway Indian family group who formerly frequented the area. It is located approximately 12 miles north east of the Town of Parry Sound on the easterly side of Highway 124. McKellar village on Highway 124 is located on the extreme north end of the lake. A township road from this village encircles the lake, passes through the hamlet of Hurdville and rejoins Highway 124, 5.4 miles south of McKellar village. There is a public launching site and dock in the village of McKellar.

The exterior grounds of this cottage is where you will spend most of your time. The large grassy yard is the perfect place for the kids to play while you sit on the dock and lounge with a book. There is an awesome fire pit area here for you to roast marshmallows under the starry night sky. Take advantage of the kayak, canoe, and paddle boards available to explore the lake on.

SHORELINE

• Shoreline is flat rock in parts and slopes toward the lake, and some areas are sandy. 150 feet of shoreline to enjoy!

PRIVACY RATING

• Five stars out of Five. Cottage is completely surrounded by trees and vegetation.

DOCKING FACILITIES

• The nearest boat docking facilities are located at the cottage. 40 feet long and 13 feet deep at the end of dock. 22 foot boat can dock comfortably.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

• Cottage is not designed for wheel chair access.

LIMITATIONS

• Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults.
• Pets are negotiable; Cats are not permitted. Dogs must be 20lbs or less with a max of 1. There is a $50 pet fee.
• Smoking is permitted outside the cottage please use ashtrays
• Renters are responsible to do a full clean of the cottage (cleaning supplies provided) and remove all garbage/recycling at the end of the rental period. If this is not done cleaning/garbage disposal fees will be charged. Please see full cleaning list HERE.
