Unique, three bedroom, 1300 square foot cottage located on the
shores of Dorcas Bay on Lake Huron. The cottage has been designed
like a lighthouse with windows surrounding the house on the main
living level. This provides a spectacular panoramic view of Lake
The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout with hardwood floors. The living room has a leather couch and loveseat, 50" TV w/satellite & attached computer for DVD & internet entertainment. The View from this room is breathtaking.
At the other end of this room is a maple table and six chairs -
plenty of room for everyone in your group to enjoy a family meal
together. Sliding glass doors lead from the dining area out to a
lakeside deck where you will find a patio set and propane BBQ for
outdoor dining. The kitchen is just off the dining area and is equipped
with oak cupboards, fridge, stove, microwave, espresso coffee maker
There is a large master bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite
two-piece bathroom with a bidet. The second bedroom has a double
bed while the third bedroom has one single bed.
The second bathroom at the cottage is a four-piece with both tub
and shower. For your convenience full laundry facilities are available
at the cottage, as is high speed internet.
Outside of the cottage, enjoy the firepit in the evenings as the
perfect place to roast marshmallows and enjoy the beauty of the
night sky. At the shoreline the flat limestone rock provides gradual
entry into the waters of Lake Huron.
The cottage is located at the end of a dead-end road.
At the end of the road is a large stretch of waterfront land which
is part of the Bruce Peninsula National Park. This is a great spot
to take long walks in a pristine environment.
The scenic Village of Tobermory is only a short distance away (13
km) and this is where you can stroll through the shops in the village,
visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour,
or take a scenic boat cruise where you can view shipwrecks, lighthouses
and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun
ferry are very popular.
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream.
If you're looking for a sandy beach, there is one at Singing Sands
Beach, just 14km away. There are plenty of opportunities for exploration
and enjoyment for the whole family, and this cottage provides the
perfect setting for your holiday!
