Cottage Profile
Three bedroom, 1500 square foot cottage with all the conveniences
of home. Located across the road from a lovely sand/rocky beach
in the Town of Kincardine, you can walk to both the sand beach and
to the downtown area. This cottage is located on a corner lot in
a residential setting in the southern part of the town.
The ground floor of the cottage has a large living room surrounded
by large glass windows that provide a partial view of Lake Huron.
A sofa and two easy chairs provide comfortable seating to relax
and enjoy the cable(basic) television with DVD player and VCR. Large windows
create a bright, open space.
The dining room table has seating for all six in the party, and
sliding glass doors lead from this dining room out to a deck with
patio furniture. A second sitting area is located at the back of
the cottage where a propane bbq and another patio table are located,
the perfect place to enjoy your outdoor meals.
A galley kitchen comes complete with fridge, stove, microwave and
dishwasher for quick clean up, so you can spend less time in the
kitchen and more time at the beach.
Through the kitchen is a set of stairs that lead down to the downstairs
den. This is a nice quiet area away from the rest of the cottage,
and extra sleeping space if required. A second television is located
in this den, and the sofa pulls out into a double bed.
On the upper floor is a master bedroom with a Queen bed and sliding
glass doors leading out to a second storey balcony overlooking Lake
Huron.
Also on the upper floor is a second bedroom with double bed and
four-piece bathroom.
The outside of the cottage has two decks, the front deck facing
the lake has a table, chairs and umbrella. The second deck in the
backyard is private and has a sitting area and propane barbeque.
The cottage is located across the road from a nice sand/rocky beach.
Due to the westerly winds, the water can cover the sandy area of
the beach right up to the rocky slope of the shoreline. From the
beach you can see the most beautiful sunsets in the world (according
to National Geographic). Access to the beach is over a hill leading
down to the beach.
A 2 km walk along the beach will lead you to downtown Kincardine where you will find lots of boutiques, fine
restaurants, Kincardine harbour and the town's major landmark "The Lighthouse".
Kincardine has a lot of old time charm with its large colonial
stone houses, vibrant downtown and Saturday night Pipe Band parades.
Kincardine's motto is "Kincardine, where you are a stranger
only once". |
