Cottage Profile

Two bedroom, 1000 square foot waterfront cottage located 2 km north of Port Elgin on the shores of Lake Huron. Within 5 kms of this cottage are two beautiful sand beaches. A pedestrian / bike trail travels directly across the street from this cottage which gives you easy access to the lake and both the towns of Southampton and Port Elgin on a bike.

This cottage has a glassed-in sunroom facing the lake that provides a view of the beautiful sunsets over Lake Huron and the Lighthouse on Chantry Island.

The interior of the cottage has nice comfortable furniture and large glass windows facing the lake and the south side of the property. There are French doors separating the sunroom from the main cottage. The main living area of the cottage features a couch with two chairs to relax in and a TV with cable, DVD and VCR.

The kitchen has all the must-have amenities including, fridge, stove, and microwave. A dining room table located in the kitchen will comfortably seat all six in your party, and the sun room also has a glass table so you can enjoy both your meal, and the view.

There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. A day bed is also available in the sunroom. The one bathroom at the cottage is a three-piece with a shower.

Outside of the cottage is a large yard which is great for groups with smaller children. There is plenty of lawn to play on safely away from the road. The cottage property is relatively flat and grass covered. There is 200ft of frontage with a cottage in close proximity at the rear. The cottage is not screened roadside and therefore does not have a high privacy rating.

The cottage is located strategically between the two popular tourist towns of Port Elgin and Southampton. Both of these towns have many points of interest including the Bruce County Museum, MacGregor Point Provincial Park and many restaurants and shops.

The shoreline in front of the cottage consists of a pebble beach and shallow entry into the water. Two great beaches are close by (Port Elgin 2km, Southampton 6 km). Take your coffee over to the park bench and enjoy an evening watching the spectacular sunsets and Chantry Island Lighthouse vistas.
