Newly renovated, 1500 square foot, waterfront cottage with 4 bedrooms,
located north of Wiarton, and nestled in the trees along the shoreline
of Berford Lake.
Berford Lake is a spring fed lake approximately 2 miles long and one
mile wide. There is good fishing for bass and perch on the lake.
The cottage has a large spacious living room with laminate wood
flooring, three comfortable couches, a gas fireplace, 48 inch television
with satellite receiver as well as sliding glass doors leading out
to a lake side patio.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, dishwasher,
microwave oven and plenty of cupboard and counter space. At one
end of the kitchen is a wooden dining room table with seating for
all of your group.
From the dining area you can access the lakeside sunroom. Floor
to ceiling windows provide a clear view of the water and the magnificent
sunsets. This is the perfect place to relax in the patio furniture
and enjoy the outdoors without worrying about bugs.
One bedroom has a double bed; the second bedroom has two single
beds; and the third bedroom has a queen . The bathroom on the main
floor of the cottage is a four piece with both shower and tub.
A loft has been built in the cottage to increase the amount of
living space. The loft includes a bedroom with a queen size bed
and a daybed, as well as a three piece bathroom with shower. The
bright space is a fantastic addition to the cottage.
By the lake is a 120 sq ft lakeside deck elevated over the water.
The deck has two Muskoka chairs and is completely private. This
is a great place to sit and watch the sun set over the lake.
The shoreline of the cottage has a shallow entry with a silty bottom.
(Please see beach description for more details.)
The cottage comes with the use of a canoe and paddles to explore the
lake and perhaps do some fishing.
The cottage is located on a quiet dead end road that has very little
traffic. As it is located in a central location on the Peninsula, there
is only a 10 minute drive to Wiarton, 20 minutes to Sauble Beach and
5 minutes to great hiking on the Bruce Trail.
