Beautiful cottage, completely appointed, fantastic views and swimming, private and quiet and only minutes from Tobermory. What more could anyone want?
Just what I needed!

This is the perfect cottage getaway, both the cottage and the location. It's like being off the grid but with the comforts of wifi and satellite tv if you so chose or need. There are great vistas of Lake Huron and beautiful sunsets to watch from the deck with wine or coffee in hand. The cottage was very neat and clean when we arrived. It has all the basic amenities and is close to town for anything you need to re-stock. It's very close to Bruce Peninsula National Park and the Bruce Trial if you like to hike. I will be coming back here again for sure!

I stayed at Cape Christie Cottage with my family (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 8-year old and my mother). We all loved it. Except for two days when the wind was high and the water was rough, the swimming was perfect for everyone (though water shoes really are necessary) and we got a lot of use out of the kayaks. The teenagers had fun swimming in the waves even when it was windy. The sunsets were wonderful. The extra fee for the hot tub was well worth it, especially after an evening or morning swim. The best part about the cottage is its proximity to so many interesting places on the Peninsula. The Bruce trail with its incredible turquoise water, the Grotto, boats to Flower Pot Island or snorkelling trips and excellent fish and chips in Tobermory are all a few minutes away by car.

My family enjoyed this well appointed and immaculate private cottage on the limestone shoreline of Lake Huron at the tip of the Bruce Penninsula. Fabulous views of this massive Great Lake can be seen from huge windows in the cottage, the large, west-facing deck or by the water's edge. This place is a nature-lover's retreat.

A beautiful spot for a romantic getaway. Would probably be great for kids too, although the waterfront isn't very child-friendly for swimming. Cottage was clean, well equipped, great view, very comfortable. Fireplace was a great touch, although dry wood seemed to be a challenge. Great privacy from the neighbours, especially on the water/hot tub side of the cottage. Overall, would highly recommend!
Perfect house for our family... amazing Lakefront!

We all had a wonderful time at Cape Christie (6 of us, parents, two 21 year old guys, and two teenage girls). We booked it because we wanted to bring our dog and we wanted lakefront with kayaks. The house was very clean and we loved the easy clean floor and natural pine walls. The lakefront was perfect and private. We found a real life ship wreck in the Lake about 5 houses over towards the south. We couldn't believe it. We snorkeled right from the house and found it. The weather was very uncommonly cold/windy, so we ended up hiking much of the Bruce trail in the area, instead of hanging out in the water. The boys did do some extreme kayaking! We would have really used a washer and dryer due to the wet conditions, but we brought a drying rack from home and put it in front of the fireplace at night. The Little Tub bakery is a must and if going to the Grotto get to the park before 9 am on a sunny day. The water in the home, as I am sure it is in many around the area, has a very strong sulfur smell/content (very natural and NOT at all harmful). Our teenage daughters were appalled at the sulfur steam when showering, so they bathed in the lake, which worked just fine. We made fires at the fire circle and just enjoyed the house and lakefront immensely! The location was perfect for nature lovers, water lovers and privacy!

The cottage was obviously recently renovated and was very comfortable. We loved the layout and there was plenty of storage space. It was nicely landscaped with lots of comfortable patio furniture. The view was spectacular as were the sunsets. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the fire pits. There was easy access to the Lake, which is not always the case in this area and the water was deep enough to swim in. We also enjoyed the hot tub, which the owner came and prepared for us. It was less than 10 mins to Tobermory so it was easy to pick up supplies. We would definitely go back.

We got there on May 11th. The next day (Mother's Day) was cold, windy, rainy & snowy, but after that, the days were alot better & warmer. We biked into Tobermory a couple of times, and liked all the shops. We also enjoyed the scenery. Walks were very nice. The cottage was more like a rustic home, and we found it very well kept up and comfortable. The fact that none of us ever owned a hot tub before was especially funny, because none of us could figure out how to get the bubbles going until almost the end of the week. But, this is good news for September when we come back to go to Table Rock, which is just a few properties down further on the same road. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to September.

We had an absolutely fantastic week! Great location - only 5 min drive to Tobermory and all the great hiking trails. Superb view from the back deck with a hot tub (!!!), very quite and secluded. Being a dog friendly getaway makes it easier for those of us with pets to have a vacation. A fireplace in the living room, made cold October nights more oozy. The owner was very kind and always available to answer any questions. WiFi internet was very handy as well.We would definitely like to come back.

We had booked Cape Christie cottage as a get-away for our honeymoon. It had great privacy, fantastic views, and was well equipped. It was comfortable and warm, and the hot tub was great to have. Definitely worth the extra money. Easy drive to Tobermory.
While the internet access was sporadic, we didn't really book the cottage so we could surf the net.

This was our fifth stay at Cape Christie and we always enjoy our week in Tobermory. We go into town and look through the shops have coffee and sit and watch the day go by. We walk on the Bruce Trail and love the scenery. We enjoy the restaurants and love the art gallerys. The cottage is lovely and well taken care of and we have seen the changes they have made. We have the before and after pictures. We love that we can sit on the deck and have this fabulous view of the lake and it is quite private. We tell people this our little piece of heaven for the week. At the end of our stay we really hate to leave. Tobermory is our home away from. Great place to visit.

We appreciated the use of the kayaks and the hot tub. It would have been fun to enjoy the fire pit, but there was a fire ban in effect.
