An accessible haven
Reviewed by Sandeep A on 09/12/2016
I greatly enjoyed this cottage, which was private, comfortable, and full of all the leisure amenities one could need/want. The cottage is 5 mins from Sauble Beach and Sauble Falls and is tucked away between these two busy and lovely destinations; you can kayak from the cottage to the falls in less than 20 mins. There were plenty of kayaks, a canoe, life-jackets of all sizes, kids' fishing nets, bikes, helmets, pool table, board games at the cottage; in short, there was never a limit of things to do and entertain. The cottage was clean except for the boat house that did not seem to have been lived in for a very long time; it was full of spiders big and small. However, it was picturesque, which is why I gave it as thorough of a cleaning as I could so that I could enjoy it for a week. It was also nice of the owner to contact me to check in with me on day 2 albeit he didn't get a company to come in to fix the dryer that was out-of-service.
Loved the setting on the Sauble River

We loved this location!! The Sauble River was a beautiful setting enjoyed as we sat on the deck/dock. Great house and boat house for a reunion of friends. Happy to use the grill for one of our meals.
Star gazing while in the hot tub was beyond our expectations.
It was a wonderful week there.

Best Cottage by far !

We were so impressed by all the extras in this cottage that we would return to it in a heartbeat. Great location, superior view, perfectly equipped, plenty of room and of course, the boathouse! Our family consists of two kids, 3yrs old and 2mth old - we did not need to bring any additional equipment with us as everything was included in the cottage itself - even the playpens. We've rented more expensive and more luxurious cottages before but non of them felt so homey and cozy with such a character as this one. Well stocked for any weather, from movies in practically any room of the house, wifi internet, playing pool, to kayaks, to perfect night in a hot tub. Above all, the cottage itself has so much room for anyone not to get in each others way. We absolutely loved it here and plan to come back again very shortly. Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful cottage with us. Sincerely, Roszczyk's family.

I've rented many cottages around the Bruce area. As we all know, They never actually look like the photos you see online. Much to my surprise i walked in to this beautiful well maintained home. Well maintained property and a beautiful view. there are two neighbors on ether side. The one group was a bit loud, but they were fun and enjoyable =) . directly across from the water front is nothing but forest. So down at the water front is just so private and peaceful! We plan on staying here every year for our summer vacations. Very practical for a family!! Boat house was fun as well!!

we fell in love with the Relax Inn.We loved the location , the solitude , the layout , and the amenities including the aC which we were glad of that week. The boathouse and hot tub were exquisite. Great fire pit. Our only disappoitment was the bicycles which were old and rickety. We really could not use them. Besides that the everything else was great especially the kayaks and paddle boat. we hope to go back next year.

My family (wife + 2 kids) and friends of ours (2 adults + 1 kid) stayed here in June, and it was great. The main house was a walk-out bungalow, and was a great size, although, it was a bit dated. However, it did have a pool table and a lot of space in the basement for everyone (with a fireplace). There is a backyard with a fire-pit backing onto another deck and onto a river, with use of kayaks, canoes etc. The boathouse on the river was great for another family (bedroom, living room, dinnette, shower, kitchen etc.). Located only 5 minutes from Sauble beach, and 30 seconds from Sauble Falls. Oh yeah, there was a great Hot tub right beside the boat house !Overall, we had a great stay, and would recommend it to anyone.

Cottage lived up to expectations. Love the location on the river (planned to spend time at the beach but only ended up there once), took the boats out everyday. Short paddle up to Sauble falls where you can jump in off the waterfall (great fun).
Hot tub, pool table, fire pit all got used - it's hard to find an occasion to leave as the cottage has so much to offer. Very relaxing vactation :)
Better than expected.

My husband & I along with our four children ranging in ages from 22 to 12 loved our week at this cottage. The well equipped kitchen, spacious living area, the bathrooms, the pool table and the hot tub...absolutely everything was perfect. We fully enjoyed relaxing on the dock and in the beautiful backyard and we took full advantage of the paddleboat and the canoes. Everything about this cottage was totally relaxing. We loved it. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay there. The Garofalo family.

This cottage had it all and then some.
The long list of amenities comes with the cottage profile, so I won't repeat them here. I'll just say that all were in great condition and everything needed to use with them was ready to hand, such as pool cues and chalk for the pool table or paddles for the kayaks for example.
Even the movie selections were great! Something for every taste--or at least a lot for my taste.
While the cottage lists its privacy rating fairly low, the trees along both sides of the property effectively screened the neighbours from my view--even when I tried to see them! And the other side of the river is forest, so one gets a sense of being completely alone--at least until one of the neighbours speaks or something.
I had a really good experience with this cottage.

This rental property was far better than we expected. There was plenty of room and it was very tidy and very well equiped. Sitting on the dock by day and in the hot tub at night was a perfect way to relax. There were boats to use on the river and bikes for rides in the park. A wide selection of videos and DVDs was on offer and the BBQ on the upper deck worked a treat. We have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone!

My Family came to visit me from Ireland and I decided to show them something other than my back yard. We all loved it. It had everything you could possibly imagine. It was absolutly BRILLIANT!!! The beach was just the right distance away and we used all of the recreational equipment. I would recomend it to anyone. The only thing i would warn people about is that you need bug spray all the time especially when on the water. Other than that you wont want to leave.
Beautiful Home - Very private

We stayed at this cottage in September. The weather was perfect and the cottage was the same. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the early evening and having a bonfire in the late evening. What was so wonderful about the bonfire was having the boathouse right there (to use the bathroom, store our beer and have some music). I've been on many vacations (including wonderful ones in the Caribbean) but this one I remember with very fond memories above all others. Very relaxing, very private and extremely well taken care of. We definitely want to go again this year.
