Lovely three bedroom, water front cottage located on a nice sand
beach at Red Bay on Lake Huron.
All the living space in the cottage is located on one floor. Facing
the lake is a large, bright carpeted living room with lots of bright
glass windows facing the lake. The living area has two sittings area;
one adjacent to the television with satellite reception, and surround
sound and the other providing a great view of the lake.
Beside the living room is the dining area with a harvest table
with seating for six. It has hardwood floors and lots of natural
The cottage has a galley kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove,
fridge and lots of cupboard and counter space. The kitchen has an
open view of the lake across the dining area and living room.
A hallway from the kitchen leads to a four piece bath room and
two bedrooms. One bedroom features a trundle bed ( 2 singles ) and
the other has a 3/4 width spool bed. The master bedroom is accessed
from the living room and has an double bed.
The cottage property gradually slopes towards the lake. There is a
large grassy area in front of the cottage leading down to a short trail
that accesses a nice sand beach.
The entry into the water is shallow.
Down by the waters edge is a screened in sun room with a panoramic
view of the magnificent sunsets over Lake Huron.
The cottage has neighbouring cottages on either side with minimal screening.
It therefore rates a privacy rating of two our of five.
The cottage is located in the historic resort community of Red Bay
that sprung up at the turn of the 19th Century.
The cottage is centrally located to many attractions. It's only a ten
minute drive to Sauble Beach and Wiarton. There are 4 golf courses within
30 km, there is great hiking on the Bruce Trail 10 km away and the Bruce
Peninsula National Park is a 40 minute drive.
There are plenty of paved back country roads to explore in the
area for cyclists. Or if you are into mountain biking there are
great trails at Sauble Beach.
