Spacious attractive, 4 bedroom, 3000 square foot, air conditioned
cottage at Colpoy's Bay on Georgian Bay. Early risers can take in
the sunrises that Colpoy's Bay has to offer. There is a road that
runs between the water and the cottage but there is plenty of yard
space for children to play safely.
The main living area of the cottage features cathedral ceilings
and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a sweeping view of Georgian
Bay. If you experience a rainy day at the cottage, you can recline
in the couch and two chairs at the cottage to watch the 54"
big screen TV with satellite, DVD player, and VCR.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave and
dishwasher for your cooking convenience. An island in the kitchen
offers additional space for meal prep.
This kitchen opens into the dining room with a table and chairs to seat
all six in your party.
A second living area is available on the lower level of the cottage.
Here the sliding glass doors lead outside to the patio with patio
furniture. There is a couch and two chairs so you can read a book,
or watch television instead. The patio is a great place to enjoy
There are four bedrooms at this cottage. The master bedroom has plenty
of windows to brighten the room. There is a queen bed as well as a four-piece ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi tub and shower. The second bedroom
is on the lower level with a double bed and patio doors that lead to the
patio. The third bedroom is located on the upper level of the cottage, with
a queen bed and sliding glass doors that lead out to deck on the lakeside. A fourth bedroom is located on the lower level and offers a king size bed - note: this room doesn't have any windows, but makes a good spot to zone out for a nap!
There are three bathrooms at the cottage. The ensuite bathroom, as well
as two others both have a tub and shower - nice and convenient for everyone
in the party.
The yard at the cottage is large and provides a great place for the kids to play. There is a great sandy beach
area as well as the government dock, just about half a kilometer from the cottage. The Bruce Trail is just a 3 minute walk away.
There are many little shops in Wiarton with unique locally handcrafted
items, as well as many studios in the outlying areas with oil painting,
wood work, stained glass & pottery shops.
The cottage is centrally located to many holiday hot spots. Southampton,
35 km from the cottage, has a wonderful weekend flea market with
many items from bedding to paintings and all the knick-knacks in
between. You could also explore 7 km of sand at Sauble Beach only
a 20 minute drive away. Tobermory, Flower Pot Island and Bruce Peninsula
National Park are about 45 minutes north and well worth the drive.
