the rooms seem larger than they really are.

You will experience a “restful”
vacation at this beautifully landscaped 6 bedroom, 1800 sq ft cottage
conveniently located on Chesley Lake near Sauble Beach.
The open concept design of the main living
area makes for easy entertaining and socializing. The kitchen has
all the amenities you need including fridge, radiant cook top, convection
oven, microwave, dishwasher and a Keurig coffee machine. There is
plenty of cupboard space and beautiful granite countertops giving
room for the cook of the family to be creative. You can have a nice
meal together with seating for 8 at the dining room table or if
you would like to have a bit more space during meals 4 can be seated
at the breakfast bar.
From the dining area a door will lead you
out to the large deck that overlooks the water where you will find
plenty of wicker seating and the hot tub for everyone to enjoy.
The large hot tub on the deck is great to use in the evenings as
the deck area is softly lit by timed lights in the trees.
Through another door off the dining area you will find the large
BBQ and stairs leading you down to the dock and the waterside decks
where you have an assortment of colourful loungers and Muskoka chairs
for relaxing and sunset viewing.
The living area inside the cottage is also
a great place to put your feet up. There are two large loveseats
and chairs for relaxing, socializing or watching TV. The flat screen
46” television is large enough for everyone in the party to
see and comes with satellite reception and also a Blu-ray DVD player
which can play both Blu-ray or regular DVDs.
A newly added feature in the living room
is the gas fireplace on the wall. There's nothing better on a cool
evening in the fall/spring or a blustery wintery day than to curl
up with a book and cup of hot cocoa in front of the fire.
On the main floor of the cottage there is
a bedroom with a king sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
Also on the main floor is a two piece bathroom off of the dining
Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a four
piece bathroom which includes a tub and shower. One of the bedrooms
upstairs has a king sized bed and a crib. The other two bedrooms
upstairs have queen sized beds.
The lower level of the cottage (basement)
has a rec room with a sectional sofa, rocking chair, foosball table
and (32")flat screen TV equipped with satellite reception and
a VHS/DVD player, so on those rainy days the kids can have fun in
their own area of the cottage. Here you will also find 2 additional
bedrooms, each with a queen size bed.
At the shoreline of the cottage there is
a boathouse with additional chairs, a tandem kayak and canoe. Life
jackets and paddles are provided. There is also a fire pit.
As you approach the cottage from the road
(please note that this is a private road that cuts through a golf
course), you can drive down the interlocking bricked driveway and
park near the cottage. Please enjoy the beautiful perennial gardens
on the property as well. At the top of the driveway there is more
parking and a brown bin for garbage.
Close by at Chesley Lake Camp (1 km), there
is a golf course, tennis courts, softball games, table tennis and
children’s programs. A store, restaurant and chapel are also
located at the camp.
It is only 14 km to Sauble Beach with its
11 km long sandy beach, restaurants, shops and entertainment opportunities.
Owen Sound is a larger commercial centre and is only 26 km to the
east of the cottage. The picturesque town and beach of Southampton
is only 19 km away and Port Elgin is 26 km away. Both Owen Sound
and Port Elgin have large grocery stores and a Walmart.
