Cottage Profile
A 770 square foot cottage overlooking the clear waters of Colpoy's
Bay on beautiful Georgian Bay provides a great home base from which
to explore all that the Bruce Peninsula has to offer.
The main living space at the cottage provides ample seating with
the couch, two armchairs and wicker chair to relax in after a day
of exploring the area or hiking the Bruce Trail. Here you can watch
some Satellite TVand DVD's on a rainy day. A large window overlooks
the front yard and the bay lets in lots of naturel light into the room.
The dining room table is also in the main living area, with seating
for every member of the party.
The kitchen of the cottage comes complete with fridge, stove and
microwave and has plenty of cupboard space for storage, as well
as a small table to make more room for food preparation.
The bathroom at the cottage is a three piece with bathtub. A unique
feature of the cottage is the outdoor shower that is located at
the back of the cottage. Here you can shower in the great outdoors!
There are three bedrooms at the cottage. The first bedroom has
a queen size bed, bedroom two has two single beds, and the third
bedroom has single bunk beds.
Just off the main living area of the cottage is a stone patio complete
with patio table, chairs, bbq, and waterview. Here you can enjoy
an outdoor meal and take in the natural beauty of Colpoy's Bay.
Across the road and on the waters of Georgian Bay there is a firepit
for your use. This is the perfect place to roast marshmallows and
look at the stars. The shoreline here is rocky and the water is
about 4 feet deep at the end of the dock. The dock is suitable for
docking a small boat. This bay is great for swimming and fishing.
The Bruce Trail, (with its excellent hiking paths that run along
the cliffs of Georgian Bay) is located just steps away and all the
other thrills and spectacular scenery of the Bruce Peninsula is
at your fingertips. Access to some of the best swimming, fishing,
and sailing in the province is provided at your doorstep.
The village of Wiarton is a short drive away. There you will find
shops, restaurants, and a public sand beach.
