Cedar sided, four bedroom, 1500 sq ft cottage on Hay Bay along
the shores of Lake Huron near Tobermory. The tiered decking provides
a view of the water from every level of the cottage.
The main living area of the cottage is an open concept design
with tasteful wood laminate floors throughout. The many windows
in this space provide plenty of opportunity for natural light
to filter the room. Enjoy relaxing in the couch and easy chair
while taking in the beautiful gas fireplace and satellite television or the DVD player.
At the other end of the living area is a table with chairs to
comfortably seat all eight in your party. From this room you can
access the lakeside deck through sliding glass doors. Here you
can enjoy the patio set and the bbq, the perfect recipe for a
truly great meal.
The kitchen at this cottage is an ideal space for cooking. With
a fridge, stove, microwave, as well as plenty of cupboard and
counter space, cooking is as convenient as possible.
On the second storey of the cottage you'll find one of the four
bedrooms as well as a second living area away from the hustle
and bustle. Sliding glass doors lead from the second living area
out onto the upper deck of the cottage, with a panoramic view
out over Hay Bay. The Master Bedroom is a spacious room with a
Queen sized bed.
The main level of the cotttage also has a bedroom with Queen
bed. The other two bedrooms are found on the lower level of the
cottage, one with a Double bed and a Queen Bed, and the other
with a Double sized bed. On the lower level you'll also find the
laudry room with washer and dryer. Another set of sliding glass
doors leads to the walk-out flagstone patio.
There are two bathrooms at the cottage, a four piece with bathtub
and shower and in the lower level a 3 piece.
Outside of the cottage there is a gravel area complete with firepit
and picnic table located between the water and the cottage, to
enjoy on a sunny day. The shoreline can be accessed 300 meteres
from the cottage. Here you'll find some flat shallow areas that
gradually make way to deeper water.
In the village of Tobermory, which is only a short distance away,
you can stroll through the shops, visit the library, restaurants
and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise
to view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Dinner
cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular(reservations recommended).
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream come
true. Guided tours of the Niagara Escarpment or the shores of Singing
Sands on Lake Huron are available a 10-minute drive away. Amphitheater
programs are presented at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative
