Cottage Profile
Expansive, waterfront, three bedroom, 1600 square
foot located at Warner Bay just outside of Tobermory on the shores
of Lake Huron.
Formerly run as a B & B, the cottage has plenty
of space to afford everyone in your group a bit of personal space.
Its numerous nooks and crannies provide plenty of options for
a great reading spot.
A new addition at one end of the cottage is a multipurpose
room with a small glass table and four chairs, as well as a love
seat and a few chairs around the television with satellite and
a DVD player. French doors lead from this room out onto the lakeside
deck where a bbq is available to help prepare your summer meals.
The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove,
microwave and dishwasher. Plenty of counter and cupboard space
provide a pleasant space for cooking your meals, and the breakfast
bar is a great place for a casual meal.
A more formal dining area is available on the other
side of the kitchen. This portion of the cottage is the original
part of the building, and the wood helps to create a cottage atmosphere.
A large dining room table comfortably seats all eight in the party,
so your family is able to sit down and enjoy a meal together.
Also in this part of the cottage is a quiet sitting
area. With a love seat and three chairs surrounding the beautiful
stone fireplace, this is the ideal spot to sit and enjoy a book,
there is also a television located here if you want some tv time
to yourself.
A four piece bathroom is located on the lower level
of the cottage.
All three bedrooms are located on the second storey
of the cottage. The Master Bedroom has a Queen sized bed, a four
piece ensuite bathroom, and french glass doors that lead out to
a private balcony with patio furniture. Bedroom two has two double
beds and a three piece ensuite with shower, and the third bedroom
has a double bed. Yet another four piece bathroom is also located
on this floor.
Outside of the cottage, you can enjoy the fire pit
in the evening. With a view of both Lake Huron and the stars in
the sky, you can relax and trade ghost stories.
The shoreline is a flat limestone rock, with a gradual
entry in the water, making it easy to access the water at the
cottage.
The scenic Village of Tobermory is located 12 km
away. Take a visit and stroll through the shops in the village,
visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour,
or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses
and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun
are very popular.
For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area
is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available
along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing
Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus
Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining.
It is also a 22 km round trip on paved roads to
bike into town.
