Compact, three bedroom, 1000 square foot cottage located along
the shores of Dorcas Bay on Lake Huron. Located a short drive from
the sands of Singing Sands Beach, and just a 20 km drive into Tobermory,
Tuckernuck is both convenient and quiet.
The main living area of the cottage is an open concept, finished
in cedar with a ledgerock gas fireplace as the focal point of the
room. Large windows allow natural light to filter the room. A sofa,
loveseat and armchair provide comfortable seating for all six in
the party, and a television with DVD player is available in case
of rainy weather. Sliding glass doors lead from the main living
area out to the lakeside deck.
The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities to
make your stay a comfortable one. A fridge, stove, microwave and
dishwasher are all available for your use, and a table with seating
for all six is located here.
There are three bedrooms at the cottage. The first and second bedrooms
both have a double bed and the third bedroom has a set of single
bunkbeds. For some additional sleeping space, the sofa in the living
area folds out in a double bed. The bathroom is a three-piece with shower.
The cottage is set back from the road for some additional privacy,
and a trail leads from the cottage down to the shore.
Muskoka chairs line the deck off the main living area and trees
that screen the deck provide a private space to relax and enjoy
a cup of morning coffee. A patio table and propane BBQ are available
for your family to enjoy an outdoor meal.
An outdoor fire pit is available for your family to enjoy an evening
campfire together. From the shoreline of the cottage, you can relax
and enjoy a beautiful sunset over Lake Huron.
The cottage is centrally located to many points of interest. It
is a twenty minute drive to Tobermory, and the Bruce Peninsula National
Park and a 10 minute drive to a nice sand beach at Singing Sands,
which is a part of Bruce Peninsula National Park.
