'View-tiful' - the perfect term for a cottage that provides beautiful, panoramic views of Jackson's Cove while also providing privacy and the opportunity to relax in a natural setting.
This 2100 square foot cottage on Georgian Bay also includes 350 square feet of deck space overlooking the cool blue water. Sit outside and enjoy your summer barbecue feast, prepared on the propane BBQ provided, and eat at the patio table with the umbrella keeping the sun out of your eyes. There are plenty of chairs on the deck so you can sit with a good book, listen to the waves, and soak up the sun's rays. Out at the shoreline there is a patio so you can sit in either of the two Muskoka chairs before launching a kayak from the dock.
Head off the main deck area and into a bright, spacious kitchen with spectacular views of the water. There is a kitchen table with six chairs, a breakfast island, beautiful granite countertops and all the amenities of home including a microwave, stove/oven and dishwasher. The living room area is adjacent to the kitchen and includes bamboo flooring that continues throughout most of the cottage. A leather sofa welcomes you to sit by the fireplace or the 46" large screen television, or sit at another sofa facing out to the large windows letting in plenty of natural light. Another living room is available upstairs, although smaller, but is a great place for the kids to hang out away from parents looking for some quiet time.
The master bedroom is perfect for your getaway with a queen size bed, ensuite 3-piece bathroom with a shower, a television, and a walk out onto the upper deck. Sit out on this deck area and enjoy your morning coffee before the day's activities begin. There are an additional two bathrooms at the cottage including another 3-piece and also a 4-piece with tub and shower. Two more bedrooms offer space for your family, with a double bed and another queen size and each with its own great view of Georgian Bay. Upstairs in the hallway there is a double size pull-out sofa bed too.
For your convenience a washer and dryer are available for use at the cottage, and feel free to use the two kayaks that are available for your enjoyment.
The shoreline at the cottage is a mixture of flat limestone rock,
with some rubble. Swim shoes are recommended and there is gradual entry into
the water with great swimming.
There are many activities in the area - the Bruce Trail can be
accessed easily from the cottage, and swimming, fishing, and hiking
are all popular things to do on the Bruce Peninsula. The village
of Lion's Head is a short 15 km drive away where you will find a
grocery store, bank, hardware, restaurants and liquor store.
