This is a two bedroom cottage with a sleep cabin, located on Hay
Bay on the shores of Lake Huron. 700 square feet of living area
makes this cottage the perfect place for spending quality time together
with loved ones. This cottage is conveniently located just three
kilometers from Tobermory. Located on a dead end road, this cottage
offers a tranquil setting.
The main living area of the cottage is an open concept with
the dining room, kitchen and living room in one large open space.
Finished in pine tongue and groove it provides that "cottage"
feel.
A view of Hay Bay can be seen from the living area through the
large lakeside window that runs across the front of the cottage.
The sitting area includes a couch, four chairs, TV with satellite
reception, CD and DVD player. A wood burning fireplace is the focal
point of this room where on a cool fall evening you can snuggle
up on the couch with a book while enjoying the view of the open
flames through the wood stove glass door.
There is a dining table with plenty of space for all six people
in the party.
The kitchen in the cottage is nice and bright. The fridge, stove,
and microwave make preparing meals a breeze. There is some cupboard
and counter space here as well.
There are two bedrooms at the cottage. Both have double beds and
a small window to allow some natural light to flow through.
There is also three piece washroom with a shower. Washer and Dryer is also available for your convenience.
Outside is a sleep cabin that has two single beds. This is a great
spot for older children in the party. (Pictures to follow in the
spring ). For the kids there is a 19" TV with satellite reception,
VCR, and DVD player.
Outside of the cottage is a large deck that overlooks the water
and is a great place to unwind. Here you'll find a patio table,
umbrella, and chairs, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view
of Lake Huron. A key element of summer cooking is the propane bbq,
which you will also find on this deck.
The shoreline at the cottage is a honeycombed limestone, shallow
entry into the water with good swimming. The bottom of the lake
has a soft bottom and some reeds are found within the water. Swim
shoes are recommended.
