Starlit Cove is a charming and delightfully comfortable 1700 sq
ft cottage with distinctive ecologically-friendly designer craftsmanship
throughout. A quiet, private setting with enchanting atmosphere,
both inspiring and cheerful.
Constructed mostly with local and sustainable green materials,
rooms are enriched with pine ceilings and cedar trim, accented with
flagstone and slate with bamboo flooring.
For those who require internet access, the cottage is equiped with high speed wireless internet for your use.
The main living space is comprised of living room, kitchen and
dining area with large picture windows. All look out toward
the lake past the two-tiered deck. On the main floor
is a four-piece bathroom with ensuite priviledges to a bedroom with a queen bed There is also a
kitchenette/games room complete with futon, counter
and sink, CD Player, and a foosball table.
The kitchen has been finished with black built-in stove, fridge
and microwave. Two lovely design features are the hutch and the
countertop crafted of local flagstone. It includes a country-kitchen
dining suite for 8 where you can enjoy views over the patio to the
boardwalk and water. A pellet stove is available for cooler evenings.
On the second level, you will find three more cheerfully decorated
bedrooms. One is the master bedroom with a queen bed and a
double sofabed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and
the third has two singles. A TV and DVD player are located
in this twin-bedded room. There is a dormered three-piece bathroom
with a lovely cedar shower too. Walk out from this level to
a small quaint sun deck with table and chairs for two.
Enjoy outdoor living! The main level deck features a 500 sq ft
rough-cut cedar patio bar complete with sink and bar fridge, a propane
BBQ, seating for 8+ and two lovely water features as you step out
the door. Sand softens the way to the waterfront (confined
to one area) and a boardwalk accesses the waterfront meandering
through the natural environment that serves as home to many species
of birds, rabbits, chipmunks and herons.
As the skies become starlit, sit quietly around the patio and
you may see flying squirrels hunting for sumflower seeds or the
glow of flickering fireflies. Hear the songs of the frogs as the
fire crackles in the chiminea.
You can access the shallow water from in front of the cottage.
Those looking for a gradual entry sand beach, will find a small
but nice public one located within just a few minute's walk (.5
km) The cottage comes with 3 kayaks for exploring the shoreline
Bradley Harbour is located on Lake Huron with the closest communities
being Lion's Head to the south and Tobermory to the north .
Great hiking on the Bruce Trail can be accessed from either town, or at
Bruce Peninsula National Park, only 25 kilometres north.
