There is also a 200 ft long wooden boardwalk leading from
the cottage down to a lakeside deck. This is the perfect place to relax with a book and take in the serene sounds of the water.
On the shoreline is the fire pit, where the kids can sit at night cooking smors and gazing at the magnificent dark skies that the Bruce Peninsula has to offer.
The shoreline consists of flat limestone rock and the water gets deeper
gradually. Since the cottage is located on a point of land, the lake
has many different faces - some days calm, other days wavy.
The cottage is located at the end of a dead end road. Land further
down the shoreline forms part of Bruce Peninsula National Park. You
therefore have miles of undeveloped shoreline to walk along and enjoy
a pristine environment. If you wish to visit Tobermory it is just 25 km away, with its natural harbour with shops and restaurants and the opportunity for boat tours. There is much to enjoy!
