Nestled in a centrally located municipal lot along a quaint treed street, Huron View is a bright, comfortable 2400 sq ft cottage just steps to both Southampton's main business district and the gorgeous sandy beach.
The house is actually two separate rental units being rented as one big home. This is a great place to get together with extended family.
Entering the main hallway through the south-side entry door you will find two bedrooms on the main level just steps from the kitchen, a large bathroom (jet tub/shower combination) with full-sized laundry machines and the spacious back deck. The larger bedroom on this level has a queen-sized bed and a ceiling fan. The smaller bedroom, situated between the bathroom and the other bedroom, contains a single bed.
On this main level is also the kitchen/gathering room with several
windows and all the amenities of home including a fridge/freezer,
stovetop, wall oven, dishwasher, microwave, dining table for 8 and
a ceiling fan. The living space adjoining the kitchen has a sofa,
coffee table, two armchairs and a wall-mounted, flatscreen TV with
satellite receiver. From this family-oriented space you can enjoy
a view of the 350 ft deck and treed yard through the glass sliding
The west-facing deck is the perfect spot for evening cocktails and alfresco dining around the patio table. A propane BBQ is available for your convenience and the cottage also offers a separate sleeping cabin that has a double bed.
Back inside, on the lower level of the four bedroom unit are two
bedrooms and a family room and the second bathroom (3 piece bathroom).
The largest room has 2 double beds and the second bedroom on this
level also has a double bed and TV. The family room has two sofas,
a comfortable chair and a flat screen TV with DVD player and an
exit to the back yard. This unit sleeps 9. The bunkie sleeps two
more. The floor plan allows you to spread out to find privacy or
to gather in groups for game-playing, sunning/reading/napping on
the spacious deck, or movie/TV watching in your choice of three
Entering the Second Unit :
Entering through the front door, at the porch, one enters the living
room with the kitchen just off to the right.Enjoy the flat screen
tv with satellite service, a three-seater sofa, two upholstered
arm chairs, a coffee table and ceiling fan in the living room. In
the kitchen is a drop leaf table, four chairs and a side entrance
to the deck.
Going upstairs to the second level the guest will find a large bathroom
with shower/tub combination and laundry facilities. Each bedroom
has a closet, dresser and a set of bunkbeds or a queen bed. This
unit sleeps 5. The north-facing side deck is the perfect spot for
evening cocktails, alfresco dining around the patio table and bbqing.
A propane BBQ is available for your convenience.
Here in Southampton you can choose to start the day at any one of the local, quality golf courses, or just relax on the clean sandy beaches. Enjoy a hike on the local rail trails and finish the day at the water’s edge taking in a breathtaking sunset. Take a guided tour to Chantry Island and then sample a bandshell concert, outdoor flea market, car show, antique show, or take a trip back in time at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre. For your shopping needs, take a leisurely stroll along the main streets stopping for ice cream or a handmade pizza, a gallery tour or fresh roasted coffee.
