This Lake Eugenia waterfront cottage is a wonderful vacation destination. Lake Eugenia is at the entrance to the Beaver Valley in southern Ontario's recreational heartland.
The Beaver Valley is part of the Niagara Escarpment, is particularly picturesque and is designated by UNESCO as a World Biosphere. The cottage is located on a quiet cottage road, nestled in the trees along the shoreline of Lake Eugenia. It is a marvelous choice for a family-oriented vacation with swimming, boating, and fishing; or enjoy hiking, golfing, cycling, antiquing, visiting restaurants and artisan studios/galleries; or just simply relaxing. The choices are endless. The cottage has open concept living, dining and kitchen areas.
There are large picture windows looking out onto the deck, with great waterfront views from both the living room and the dining room. The living room is spacious and bright with two cozy chairs and a comfortable couch, a 46" television with a Blu-Ray Player, and a wood stove. The dining room comfortably seats eight people.
The kitchen has a fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. On this level there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a set of bunkbeds with a single on top and a double on the bottom. There is also a three-piece bathroom with shower.
On the lower level there are two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with one single bed and a set of single bunkbeds. There is a four-piece bathroom with tub/shower on this level and an awesome games room with air hockey and soccer tables, 53" television with DVD/VCR, (with lots of VHS Disney movies) that will keep the kids (young and old) amused.
For your convenience there is also a washer and dryer available to take care of your laundry needs during your stay at the cottage. The door in the living room takes you to a large 360 square foot elevated deck with a patio table and six chairs, as well as two lounge chairs perfect for taking advantage of the lake view and relaxing with your book and/or favourite summer beverage.
There is also a propane BBQ for grilling. Outside there is a grassy yard between the cottage and shoreline with a stone walkway and gardens to the lake. At the lake there is a fabulous new dock with four Muskoka chairs where you can catch some rays and relax with a good book and a great view. If you prefer, swim off the dock or swim to the floating raft, or try your hand at fishing from the dock. It's a great place to catch the morning sunrise.
The shoreline at the cottage drops off quickly and younger children will need to be supervised. The cottage comes with the use of a canoe and paddles to explore the lake, as well as a kayak and a boat with oars. A short drive away are the quaint villages of Eugenia, Kimberly, Flesherton and Markdale where you can explore a beautiful 30 metre waterfall and trails, visit restaurants, galleries and area artisans, pick up fresh groceries, beer/wine, ice cream and old fashioned treats.
A little farther afield are all the amenities of Thornbury, Collingwood
and the Village of Blue - with a wide variety of shopping, dining,
entertainment, arts & culture events and attractions.
