Note: Many of the pictures on this web page have been
taken using a 16 mm wide angle lens. We use this lens to show as much detail
as possible in each of the rooms of the cottage. This makes the rooms seem
larger than they really are.
Please Note: The water levels in Ontario have been fluctuating in recent years. Therefore, some of the photographs of shorelines/beaches on this website may not fully reflect current waterfront conditions.
This recently renovated four bedroom pine cabin is located on Myles Bay, along Lake Huron and is just a short drive to the village of Lion's Head. A great feature of this cottage is its proximity to a beautiful sandy beach - it is only 400 meters to Black Creek Provincial Park Sandy Beach for you and your family to enjoy!
The cottage is an open concept design with the main living area on the main floor. Finished in a pine interior, there are also pine floors throughout the cottage. The living room has a large wood-burning stone fireplace, chesterfield and three chairs and a 32" TV with a DVD player and cable - so bring your kids' favourite movies to watch on a rainy day or to settle down in the evening.
Adjacent to the living room is the fully equipped
kitchen with fridge, stove/oven, microwave, and more. It provides
adequate cupboard and counter space to prepare your meals. Just
beside the kitchen you will find a separate dining area. Here there
is a table that seats six comfortably and a bright window that allows
in natural light.
The cottage has four bedrooms. One bedroom contains a queen bed, two additional bedrooms each have a double bed, and another bedroom has a set of single bunkbeds.
The cottage has a spacious four-piece bathroom with shower/tub combination.
On the front of the cottage there is a nice deck, complete with patio furniture and a propane BBQ for your outside dining pleasure. There is patio space in the backyard as well. There is also an outdoor firepit to sit around at night, and take in the starry sky of the Bruce Peninsula.
There is a narrow dirt road that runs between the cottage and the lake. The shoreline at the lake is sandy entry and entry into the water is gradual and is great for small children. Just 400 metres away there is a beautiful public sand beach that also has changerooms and a washroom for convenience.
The cottage is a short drive into the community of Lion's Head where you can find a grocery store and local shops and restaurants. Bruce Peninsula National Park and Tobermory are within a 45 minute drive of the cottage, so get out and explore!
