Executive, spacious 2200 sq ft plus lower level with three bedrooms, located on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.
This cottage is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city without leaving behind the comforts and amenities of home. Plus, you'll see some breathtaking sunsets from the cottage deck or from your 450 feet of private waterfront.
Entry to the cottage is up its stunning armored stone stairs to an elevated deck and wonderful views of Lake Huron.
Inside in the main living area of the cottage you'll be greeted with a cathedral pine ceiling in the Great Room, a huge floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, beautiful natural hickory hardwood and slate floors, knotty pine doors and comfortable furniture to unwind in - including a sofa, loveseat and armchairs. The 55" HD 3D TV has satellite and a DVD player with WiFi is also provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a french door fridge, gas convection stove, over the range microwave, a dishwasher as well as a granite topped island with two bar stools for you to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. There is ample counter and cupboard space, and matching dishes and flatware which helps to make your holiday cooking and serving a little easier.
The dining area has a large maple harvest table with seating for all six in the party allowing your group to enjoy a sit down family meal together. Full, modern laundry facilities are also located here in the kitchen and dining area. A large two-piece bathroom is located off of the dining area. You'll appreciate the natural slate floors, vanity with granite countertop and antique bronze waterfall faucet and fixtures.
The spacious master retreat with king size bed is located on this floor. It has hickory hardwood floors, a 48" HD TV and satellite. A corner electric fireplace will take the chill off if needed. The large ensuite bath is decorated in gorgeous natural travertine stone tile and boasts a large two basin cottage vanity with granite countertop, large corner jacuzzi tub with in-line heater, and a modern glass shower with rainfall shower head and hand held spray. Enjoy your soak while watching a 32" HD TV. You can also warm your towels with the newly installed heated towel bar so they can greet you after a shower or soak in the jetted spa or outdoor hot tub.
Hickory stairs lead up to the loft level, with a corner desk, comfortable loveseat and reclining chair and a panoramic view of Lake Huron. There are two bedrooms on this level. Glass french doors, affording a view of the lake, take you to the carpeted front bedroom with a set of bunkbeds for the kids (single on the top and double on the bottom) and matching rustic northern white cedar furniture. The third bedroom, located in the rear with large windows on two walls, offers a view of the lake and forest while giving you privacy. It is a large carpeted room with a queen sized cedar post bed, matching cedar furniture and a private entrance to the cheater ensuite bathroom. The bath, with a travertine tub surround and floors offers separate rooms for tub/toilet and vanity.
Outside of the cottage at mainfloor level (and with a view of the lake) is a stunning 825 square foot wrap-around covered deck including an uncovered sun deck with south exposure. This deck, accessed by way of two lake-facing 6 foot glass French doors and two additional side doors has a patio table, his and hers Adirondack pine chairs with centre table, chaise lounge chairs and an ample sized propane BBQ. Situated on the private and sheltered northwest corner of the covered deck is a 3 person hot tub with views of the lake and islands in the distance.
Below this deck on ground level is a similar sized deck of patio stones with chaise lounge chairs, patio table and ready access to the lake. Enjoy the beauty and solitude of the area by paddling one of the two available kayaks, and walking or biking on the property or down the quiet dead end road. If indoor activities suit your fancy the ground floor features a pool table, ping-pong, games table, bumper pool, books and board games for your enjoyment as well as a 55" HD TV with sound bar.
Access to the shore is by a wooden boardwalk to a natural
flat rock area. A great place to sit, relax and enjoy a glass
of wine at sunset is by the lake in the provided Muskoka chairs
or picnic table. A firepit is also available on the shoreline
for evening campfires, and is a great place to take in the
starry night sky. The cottage is located on a very private
2.5 acre lot on a quiet cul-de-sac with a long circular driveway
keeping the cottage private from the road. The shoreline is
a mix of flat rock and glacial features with gradual entry
into Lake Huron. You can certainly enjoy a swim here or launch
a kayak at numerous access points with varying depths. The
area is perfect for swimming, boating and snorkeling as the
water is crystal clear with smooth rock and rubble bottom
and suitable depths for all activities.
If you'd like to visit a sandy beach, there is one less than 10 km from the cottage at Dunks Bay and a little further to Singing Sands Beach, which is a fantastic beach for kids. There are public washrooms and change rooms at Singing Sands, so the family can pack a picnic and stay for the day. Visit the village of Tobermory and sit on one of the many patios along the downtown harbour and have a bite to eat or just take a walk around town and browse in the unique shops. You are also not far from Bruce Peninsula National Park with great opportunities for hiking and exploring. This cottage is the perfect spot for you to comfortably get away, and make the most of your holiday!

Shoreline has large areas of flat rock. Depth at entry is approximately 6 inches. Depending on where you enter the water may get deep gradually or more quickly with a mix of smooth rocks, boulders and rubble. Swim shoes are recommended.
