Enter through the sunroom entrance and find yourself in a comfortable sitting area and entry way. Here there is furniture for you to take a seat and watch a movie on the TV with DVD player - it may be the perfect spot for the kids to settle in with a movie while you dive into a good book. Or head inside and cozy up in the living room by the gas fireplace and take a seat in either of the couches or the comfy chair. The TV has satellite so you can catch up on your favourite shows after a day at the beach.
The small but efficient kitchen has many of the amenities of home including fridge, stove/oven, microwave and a window over the sink that looks out to the yard. The dining table seats six so you can have a sit-down meal together.
The cottage has four bedrooms. Two bedrooms each have a double size bed, while a third bedroom offers two singles. Another bedroom offers a set of single bunkbeds.
The cottage has two bathrooms - one is a three-piece with a shower while the second is a two-piece with toilet and sink. There is a washer and dryer too, so you can take care of your laundry needs.
To enjoy the cottage's outdoor space you can have a meal at the patio table with its six chairs, after you've cooked up dinner on the propane BBQ. Take a seat in either of the Muskoka chairs with your book and a beverage.
The cottage is a short 200 metre walk to Southampton public beach, at the Beach Street entrance. There is parking at the beach entrance, if you prefer, or the walk will take you less than 5 minutes! The shoreline is sandy and is the perfect beach for families with children of all ages. Entry into the water is shallow and gradual, so the kids can splash around at the shoreline or you can head out for a fantastic swim!
The cottage is a short 5 min drive or easy 1.5 km walk to the downtown area of Southampton where you can explore the local shops and try out the local restaurants. Southampton is a great base from which to explore the area - check out the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre or take a walk on the beachfront boardwalk - and then hop in your car and see what else you can discover in Bruce County!
