Peaceful 1700 square foot, three bedroom cottage located on the shores of Lake Huron at Dorcas Bay, nestled amoung the cedars on a beautiful, natural lot. This is the perfect place for your family to enjoy nature and relax together.
The eat-in kitchen offers many of the amenities of home including fridge, stove/oven, microwave and more. The table, with bench style seating, is situated in front of large, bright windows that bring in the afternoon sun. In the adjacent room is the more formal dining table and chairs located by a gas fireplace and also adjacent to large windows with a view out to the deck.
In the living room you will find a couch, two Muskoka chairs to lounge in, and a 42" HD TV with satellite and a DVD player for your entertainment. There is also a desk - if you can't get away from your work while you're on holiday, at least work while enjoying the view out the window!
Up a few steps will lead you to the bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a queen size bed and an ensuite three-piece bathroom with a shower. The other bedroom has a single over double bunkbed. The main bathroom is a four-piece with tub/shower combination. There is also a washer and dryer available for your use. On the main level of the cottage there is a thrid bedroom with a double bed.
Sit out on the elevated deck and take in the fresh air and the sunlight. On cooler evenings you can still enjoy the deck by using the outdoor heater, located here. For grilling up a great dinner, a propane BBQ is available.
Look down from the deck and out to the cottage's front lawn, the trail down to the shore, and the water beyond. There is a grassy space on the lawn for the kids to play, while the trail that leads you down to the shoreline is bordered by rocks to keep you on the right path. Enjoy the natural landscape and the beauty of your surroundings.
There is an outdoor fire pit for you to enjoy a family campfire together while you listen to the waves and watch the stars.
The shoreline is a mix of rubble and flat rock with a gradual entry
and good swimming. This cottage is quite close (just 6.5 km) to
Singing Sands, a beautiful, public sandy beach that is great for
children and families.
The cottage is just a 15 minute drive into the village of Tobermory where you can walk along the scenic harbourfront, eat in the restaurants, shop at the local stores, and take boat cruises out on the water. Visit Bruce Peninsula National Park and hike the trails to see what you can discover!
