A quaint 2 bedroom cottage located across a quiet road from a lovely sand & stone beach on the shores of Lake Huron, in the southern part of Kincardine's residential and cottage area. There are two units on the property - the cottage and a separate apartment unit (note: the apartment unit is occupied by another tenant, but that space is completely separate from your cottage rental and that tenant does not have access to the lakeside deck).
Enter into the cottage and find yourself in the living room space where there are two couches (that dual as pull-outs), a 32" HD TV with a DVD player for your movie watching entertainment, beautiful hardwood floors, a ceiling fan overhead, and plenty of bright windows to let in the sun and breeze. A dining table with four chairs sits near the doorway, so you can sit down for a meal.
The galley-style kitchen has all the amenities of home including fridge, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and more for your convenience. Out in the garage - which is your own space as well - is a family dining space with a long table that has four chairs and two benches to comfortably seat everyone in your group. Open the garage door to let in the breeze, and have easy access to the propane BBQ for cooking outside.
Both of the cottage's two bedrooms have hardwood floors. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and sliding doors out to the yard. The other bedroom has a set of single bunkbeds that would be great for the kids, and a ceiling fan overhead can help keep the air circulating. The bathroom is a four-piece with soaker tub and separate shower.
From the cottage's front door looking across the quiet road, you'll see a patch of grassy yard and an elevated lakeside deck. That deck is yours to enjoy! Take over your coffee and a bite to eat and sit watching the waves against the shore at the beach just below. Take the deck steps right down to the beach, where you'll find Muskoka chairs waiting for you to take a seat and lounge, and a chimnea for an evening campfire right by the water! The shoreline is a mix of sand and stones, and it is gradual entry into the water that is great for children and families.
Station Beach is located just 2 km away - that is Kincardine's main public beach which is also a great sandy beach with fantastic swimming. There you'll also find Kincardine Marina and a beautiful boardwalk to enjoy a stroll.
Within Kincardine you can take a walk through the friendly community,
or hop in your car for a quick drive to everything that Kincardine
has to offer - from its historic downtown, to great restaurants,
shopping, live theatre and more. On Saturday nights the Kincardine
Scottish Pipe Band Parade marches through the downtown from Victoria
Park. As the parade passes by, be sure to join the townsfolk as
they follow the band to enjoy a concert in the park!
