Two bedroom, 1250 square foot cottage located just 400 metres to
the shores of Whiskey Harbour on Lake Huron. This private cottage
located in a quiet, serene setting surrounds you with nature while
you get away from the city.
Make this cottage your home away from home while on holiday, with amenities to keep you comfortable and plenty of things to see and do in the area!
Inside, the efficient kitchen has many of the amenities of home including a fridge, stove/oven, microwave and more for your meal preparation, as well as a window over the sink to bring in light. There is a large chest freezer in the kitchen but it is not powered and is used for dry food storage instead.
The adjacent dining table can seat six for a sit-down meal together. Just next to this is a lounge couch that is a great spot to relax with a book, or use it as a double bed.
The living room space offers a leather couch and loveseat around a 50" TV with satellite and a DVD player for your entertainment. A ceiling fan overhead can help keep the air moving, while there are also patio doors out to the side of the deck, which is covered for shade.
The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a ceiling fan. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, a petit toddler bed, and a crib (handy if there's youngsters in your group!). The other bedroom has two sets of bunkbeds with a single over a double, and a single over single. The cottage bathroom is a four-piece with tub/shower combination.
Enjoy a meal outdoors on the deck space, and take a seat at the patio table with it's umbrella to keep the sun off your dinner. A propane BBQ allows you to cook up an easy summer feast, while the two zero-gravity loungers draw you in to relax with a beverage and a good read.
Out on the lawn is space for the kids to play and there is a fire pit to have a family campfire. The property is well screened by trees, giving you privacy while you enjoy the outdoor space.
This cottage is located just a two minute walk to "the Rocks" - a public access point onto the shores of Lake Huron. The shoreline is a mix of flat rock and rubble, with gradual entry and great swimming opportunities.
The cottage's central location on the Bruce Peninsula places it close to many attractions. Sauble Beach is only a 30-minute drive away, while Bruce Peninsula National Park is a 45-minute drive. The village of Lion's Head (with a great sand beach!) and the town of Wiarton with their shops and restaurants are just 20 minute drives, so get out and check out the area!
