Beautiful 1300 square foot, four bedroom cottage located on the shores of Lake Huron at Cape Hurd and just 9 km outside the village of Tobermory. Get out and enjoy the great deck space, take in a magnificent sunset, and take advantage of the a close proximity (short drive) to the shops and activities in town for plenty of fun for the whole family.
In the open concept space on the main level you'll find the kitchen and dining space. The petit yet efficient kitchen area offers a fridge, stove/oven, microwave and more to ease your meal preparation and make this like home. There is a window over the sink and a dining table with seating for six.Off to one side of the space is a couch where you can lounge with a book, or head out the patio doors to the fantastic deck space beyond.
On the main level there are three bedrooms including two that each have a queen bed that also have patio doors to outside. The other offers a set of single bunkbeds that would be great for the kids. The bathroom is a four-piece with tub/shower combination. A washer and dryer are also available for your use.
Upstairs is a living room space with a couch and a 32" TV with satellite and DVD player for your entertainment. There is also a petit counter area with a sink, which may be helpful for your snack preparation. On this upper level there is also another bedroom with a queen size bed, and there is also a three-piece bathroom with a shower. An office space with desk and chair is a great spot to set up the work that you couldn't leave at home. Patio doors off the living space lead you to the elevated deck with a great view out to the water.
Out on the deck, with terrific views of the waterfront to catch a sunset, there is also plenty of space to sit and relax in the fresh air. A screened-in gazebo tent is available for your outdoor dining pleasure, with table and six chairs. There is a propane BBQ for use as well, and a porch swing so you can swing your cares away.
A wooden walkway leads you from the cottage down to the shoreline deck. The shoreline at the end of the walkway is marshy with grasses and natural vegetation growing in this small inlet. Just beyond that though, if you make your way along the marsh, the beautiful waters of Lake Huron await! With gradual entry into the water and great swimming opportunities this waterfront must be enjoyed.
Tobermory is short distance away (9 km), where you can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you can view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very also very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. Bruce Peninsula National Park is within a 15 minute drive with its great trails, while Singing Sands and Dunks Bay public sand beaches are great spots to enjoy an afternoon with your family!
