Beautiful 960 square foot, 3 bedroom cottage located on a quiet dead end road at the tip of the Bruce on the breathtaking shores of Lake Huron. This cottage is just 10 km from the village of Tobermory and all the activities it has to offer.
The outside of this cottage has three large decks. A morning sundeck
is located on the roadside of the cottage, this deck is protected
from the winds off the lake. A large lakeside deck provides panoramic
views of Lake Huron. On these decks a variety of patio furniture
is provided. A patio table with umbrella and chairs for your outdoor
dining pleasure, picnic table and muskoka chairs through out.
The third deck was just built in the summer of 2016, a 16 X 12 lakeside
deck with a panoramic view.
Also by the lake is a fire pit with which you can enjoy roasting marshmallows while watching the clear starry skies of the Bruce.
The shoreline is a mixture of rubble and flat limestone rock. Entry into the water is gradual with great swimming as you get deeper .
All the living area of the cottage is located on one floor. The living area has a large glass patio door that takes you out to the lakeside deck, and 4 skylights allowing natural sunlight to flow through the cottage.
The focal point of the inside of the cottage is a large stone fireplace, which is a great place to enjoy a romantic evening on the cool spring and fall days. The living room has cedar interior and oak floors. It is furnished with a couch and two chairs. It has a lovely cedar smell as you enter through the front door. For entertainment there is a 46" High Def Smart TV with a DVD Player for movies.
Adjacent to the living room is the dining area with a large picnic
style table for dining.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a prep island, fridge, stove, microwave oven and plenty of cupboard and counter space.
There are three bedrooms at the cottage - one with a queen bed, and two with doubles. There is one bathroom at the cottage, a four-piece with tub/shower.
The cottage has a neighbour on one side that is 75 feet away with good screening.
Tobermory is short distance away (10 km) on a paved road. There you can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the restaurants and the library and enjoy the beautiful natural harbour. You can also take a scenic boat cruise where you can view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. The sandy shores of Singing Sands Beach are just a short drive away (13 km) and provides a perfect place for the kids to play and swim. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the Bruce Peninsula is a dream - so many opportunities await you during your holiday!
