Welcome to this gorgeous, custom built and designed, 3,600 sq. ft., 4 bedroom cottage and bunkie nestled on an acre of well-treed land. Perched above the tranquil shores of Lake Vernon, serenity and entertainment are perfectly combined, all year round, at this fantastic property!
The cottage is positioned atop a gentle slope peacefully overlooking the surrounding bay. The landscaping features are mastered by craftsmen using the finest locally sourced stone, providing that much sought-after classic Muskoka atmosphere. There is a grand stone staircase leading you from the parking area to the main door of the cottage with a continued grand stone walkway winding its way through the lower part of the property connecting the terrace to the bunkie and then down to the dock.
The cozy fully heated cedar bunkie with two sets of bunk beds and its own screened-in porch, makes you feel like you're in a glamorous tree house in the middle of the forest!
The large dock provides great boat docking and refreshing swimming off the end. A large cedar rack holds a canoe, 2 kayaks and a SUP board for exploring the lake. The high-end outdoor couch and arm chairs provide a picture-perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine or view the stunning sunsets.
The property has access to miles of boating on the 4 Lake chain and is a gorgeous fifteen-minute boat ride to downtown Huntsville which provides easy access to all the best shopping and dining the town has to offer! In the winter months, Hidden Valley is the best place to learn or hone your mountain skills. For those who are not keen on skiing, enjoy the "Fire and Ice" Trail nightly on weekends at Arrowhead Provincial Park, where they light up a 1.3 kilometer skating trail through the trees. Arrowhead also offered winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. The town of Huntsville lights up the night sky with the Eclipse walk, perfect for all ages especially with a thermos of hot chocolate!
