Take a step back in time and settle into this cozy, 915 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, classic Muskoka cottage and Bunkie on the water’s edge of the Muskoka River.
Tucked into a half-acre of land, nestled amongst mature pines and evergreens, this lovely cabin in the woods is the perfect and affordable vacation spot for a family seeking peace and quiet.
Head down to the lakeside deck in the morning, taking in the serene views, while sipping your coffee. The water is deep off of the dock, perfect for jumping into the refreshing water on hot sunny days, and there is a sandy beach for making sand castles. If you enjoy fishing you won’t have far to go because you can fish right from the dock. Be sure to get out on the water with the canoe or paddleboat at your disposal as there is nothing like a paddle down a lazy river! (additional kayaks and a paddle board are available for a small fee)
The beauty of being at this part of the river is that you are minutes away from the quaint town of Port Sydney where there is a popular local beach and you are within 15-20 minutes of either Huntsville or Bracebridge making this central location ideal for families with young children and teenagers. In the winter months, Hidden Valley is the best place to learn or hone your mountain skills. For those who are not keen on skiing, enjoy the "Fire and Ice" Trail nightly on weekends at Arrowhead Provincial Park, where they light up a 1.3 kilometer skating trail through the trees. Arrowhead also offered winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. The town of Huntsville lights up the night sky with the Eclipse walk, perfect for all ages especially with a thermos of hot chocolate!
