Welcome to Einar’s Point on Lake Rosseau
Welcome to this magnificent property on a coveted point of land with 900 feet of waterfront on prestigious Lake Rosseau. Most cottages in Muskoka, especially on the “Big Three”, do not have such a large private property with a variety of terrain and mixes of waterfronts, making this a very unique gem.
The interior of the cottage is well laid out for a large family or 2 small families, with living and sleeping space on both levels. The main level has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area, all facing out to the lake, offering tree-top views from a wall of floor to ceiling windows while preparing meals, dining inside or out on the deck, or relaxing while watching a late night movie.
A spacious and tastefully decorated lakeside master bedroom with a 4-piece ensuite is located at one end of the main level and 2 comfortable bedrooms and a 3-piece bathroom are located at the opposite end.
The lower level has a large family room with a direct walk-out to a covered patio/deck and a 3-piece bathroom and 2 bedrooms with one facing out to the lake.
For avid boaters, rent or bring your own boat and take full advantage of boating from this property as you can tour “The Big Three” (Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph and Lake Muskoka) via river and lock systems, while stopping at Port Carling and Gravenhurst and many other unique spots for groceries, dining and shopping.
It is a must to take a short drive into Rosseau, especially on a summer Friday, and enjoy the Farmer's Market at the boat launch and park. The owner’s favourite snack here, is the fresh rolls from the Thai food vendor. For an amazing lunch or dinner, Crossroads is the restaurant to experience. Be sure to check out The Rosseau General Store. Today Magazine refers to The Rosseau General Store as "an eclectic emporium where you can find just about anything you could reasonably want, a village Wal-Mart but with infinitely more character". Then head to the Ice Cream Shop next door to get an ice cream cone and experience their famous hospitality. A fabulous natural attraction in Rosseau is the Lower Rosseau Falls, located at the end of the Rosseau River where it enters Rosseau Lake. Over a distance of about 100 meters, the river slides down the rocky Canadian shield over a series of drops. None of the individual drops are over ten feet, but the total drop is around 30 feet. You can walk alongside the west side of the falls and view it from many different angles.
But the piece de resistance at this property is the spectacular sunsets and the best spot to capture them is at the point overlooking the expansive open lake. There’s something so magical about taking in the endless sky of ever changing hues of pinks, lavenders and oranges as the day comes to an end. Needless to say, spending time at this cottage and property will be a fabulous experience for the entire family, creating life long memories! It is a must to take a short drive into Rosseau, especially on a summer Friday, and enjoy the Farmer's Market at the boat launch and park.
