Welcome to Wyldewood on Lake Muskoka, your next cottage country escape. Explore this 2 acre natural Muskoka setting, with trees and exposed rock.
The main cottage has a granite stone fireplace, comfortable lounging area, and panoramic views out to the lake. DR-antique salvaged table seats 10, with a beautiful lake view. The kitchen is bright with a skylight overhead, and equipped with a fridge & stove, dishwasher, microwave and a stacked washer/dryer. There are 3 bedrooms (1) King bed with ensuite, fireplace, walk in closet and walk out to deck, with lake views. (2) 2 Queen beds, en suite, small walk in closet, and walk out to deck, with lake views. (3) 2 single beds. There is a 3rd bathroom which is a powder room. Rainy day? No problem! Stay entertained with a Smart TV, wifi stereo, and a selection of board games, books, and cards.
The guest cottage: this was the original cottage on the property, built by two local school teachers (they left their textbooks with us). It is older and now has a nautical theme. 2 smaller bedrooms, 2 twins, 1 double. There is one bathroom with shower stall. In addition to the living area there is a small Muskoka room and large deck, and a dedicated wifi. There are kitchenette facilities in the guest cottage (fridge, sink, microwave, coffee, no stove).
Step outside and grill on the propane BBQ or simply unwind and soak up the sun on comfortable sun loungers. The main cottage has a large tiered deck offering long lake south views over the boathouse and to the islands in the near distance. The south-facing boathouse offers a large roof-top deck for sun worshipers. Shallow and deep water entry from dock and various decks. The second guest cottage is close to the water and lifting the living area windows lets in the sound of the lake and the cool breezes. While evenings may lack an outdoor fire pit, the magic of the night sky comes alive as you watch shooting stars from the dock-the perfect vantage point. Experience the beauty of Lake Muskoka firsthand, with plenty of opportunities for boating, exploration, and stargazing. You may never tire of the dotted island views and the sunsets, either from the 900 s.f. south-facing sun deck on the boathouse or the large upper deck at the cottage. Or the long, long lake views from the hilltop gazebo.Drive 15 minutes to the town of Bracebridge for grocery (Independent, Food basics, Walmart), pharmacy (Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall), shopping (The Corner Cabinet, Algonquin Outfitters, Becker Shoes, Muskoka Bear Wear), LCBO, and restaurants. El Pueblito, Bracebridge Barrelhouse, and The Old Station are just a few notable restaurants in this area.
The town of Port Carling is also just a 15 minute drive away, with access to grocery (FreshCo, Foodland), pharmacy (PharmaChoice), shopping (Bling, Rub of the Green), and LCBO. In Port carling, check out Pie Wood Fired Pizza joint for some great pizza and Pete's Links for some famous sausages, hotdogs, and hamburgers.
