***10% OFF REMAINING SUMMER WEEKS (discount already implemented)***
This stunning post and beam cottage, on one acre of land on tranquil Echo Lake, with a gentle sloping lawn to a generous sized hard packed sandy beach, is a rare find in the district of Muskoka. The view out across the lake is picture perfect from most anywhere in the cottage but especially true from the covered deck, the screened-in Muskoka room and the lakeside fire pit on the beach.
The interior of the 3 level, 3 bedroom, 2,100 sq. ft. cottage is uncluttered and well laid out with beautiful contrasting rich wood accents and soft pastel painted rooms. The upper level has two tastefully decorated lake-facing bedrooms, with a 3 piece bathroom and a welcoming claw-foot bathtub to soak in after a long day of fun in the sun.
The main level has a country cozy feel with a lake facing kitchen and living room with wood stove. There is a walk-out from the living room to the large semi wrap-around upper deck with both covered and open sitting areas to enjoy spectacular lake views while dining or relaxing with a good book.
The lower level has a lake facing bunk bedroom, a spacious rec room with billiard table and a walk-out to a pristine Muskoka room with lounge chairs and comfortable rocking chairs. This is the place to be on those hot summer afternoons when you want to escape the sun but enjoy the outdoors from a breezy screened-in retreat!Any day of the week is great to take a short drive into the quaint village of Baysville where the local shops offer plenty of variety for browsing and buying. Ms. Nell’s Antiques and coffee shop has great baked goods, sandwiches and beverages and they also run the ice cream shop. Humble Pie has great pizzas and The Fork in the Road has many choices as well for a quick snack.
The Farmers Market is a must, every Friday from 2pm-6pm and check out The Hound for chicken wings and poutine and live entertainment on the patio on Saturdays and Sundays. Lake of Bays Brewery is another great spot to pop in to and enjoy their patio.
The General store has those one-offs you might need but for grocery stores, the towns of Huntsville and Bracebridge are just a 15-20 minute drive away.
