Description ↑↓
This waterfront cottage is the perfect spot for a couple or small family. Nestled in the woods at the end of the road on an acre of land, it provides great privacy and a definite feeling of solitude.
The cottage is bright, clean and compact with fantastic views of the lake from the kitchen, dining and living area. The two bedrooms face the back and look out to the forest making for a great night's sleep.
The most peaceful spot to take in the picturesque views of the area's natural beauty and landscape is at the edge of the property perched on the hand-made log benches. For the more adventurous albeit careful, one can dive off the rock at this point but the safer entrance to the lake is from a small sandy beach area to the right!
Bear Lake is very private and peaceful and beckons to be explored via canoe With Pickerel, Northern Pike and Large Mouth Bass in abundance, the fishing rarely lets anyone down and even the first timer's seem to pull in a great catch.
Facing west, you will have the pleasure of night after night of stunning sunsets! It's time to sit back, relax and enjoy! For excursions away from the cottage, there is great golfing in Huntsville and Parry Sound- 45 minute drive away. Arrowhead Provincial Park with ample hiking or paddling opportunities.
The town of Dunchurch, a quintessential small cottage country town, with a great public library, local community center, children’s playground and a sandy public beach where the kids of all ages can enjoy free daily certified swimming lessons offered by the Municipality of Whitestone.
Parry Sound features quaint shops, bookstores, all shopping amenities, great restaurants and take-out options. Parry Sound is the home of the 30,000 Island Queen Cruise scenic tour and the "Festival of the Sound" (late July to mid-August) which features both classical and jazz music in the beautiful Charles Stockey concert hall.
