Welcome to this lovely 2,000 sq. ft., 2 level, 4 bedroom cottage, nestled on an acre of land on the tranquil shores of Little Lake. The cottage has been in the family for decades, providing the opportunity to gather and connect with family and friends while creating fond memories and now they want to share it with others, hoping you too will experience the same joy!
The cottage offers 2 completely separate, self-sufficient living spaces, each with their own entrance, comfortably accommodating 2 small families. The interior of both levels are impeccably maintained and tastefully decorated, with the main level having 3 bedrooms and a lake facing open concept kitchen/dining/living room with a direct walkout to the deck, while the lower ground level has a spacious flow connecting the bedroom, family room/dining area and kitchenette with its own direct walkout to a covered stone patio and the expansive lawn that takes you down to the waterfront.
One of the owner's favourite things is the captivating splendid sunrise each morning and they never tire of how the sun peeks over the horizon to propose another amazing day. The property itself has so much to offer to both young and old alike with an abundance of activities to fill your days, such as swimming, kayaking and paddle boating. The owner's children and grandchildren love fishing off of the end of the dock, catching and gently releasing, so don't forget your fishing gear. Needless to say having a lakeside beach, a rare offering at any cottage, will be a treat for the little ones to play in and build sand castles. For those that just want to kick back and relax, bask in the sun on the lakeside decks and watch the boats, skiers and paddlers go by while listening to the soothing sound of the lapping waves hitting the shoreline, and if you're lucky, you may see the occasional group of trumpeter swans pass by!
At the end of your fun-filled days, enjoy a BBQ dinner on the deck and then gather round the lakeside fire pit to roast marshmallows for dessert while listening to the haunting call of the loons, magical!!Little Lake is known for great fishing, Whites Falls and the Big Chute rapids. As part of the Trent Severn Waterway, whether you are renting or brining a boat, a day trip exploring all the neighbouring lakes and waterway connections is a must! Other quintessential excursions can be found in Honey Harbour or Midland, small towns filled with alot of history! Midland is home to some of the best butter tarts in Ontario!
