What’s not to love about this spectacular cottage and property?! If you are looking for amazing privacy in peaceful natural surroundings, look no further!
Welcome to this gorgeous 4,000 sq. ft., 5 bedroom, 2 level cottage nestled on 4 acres of well-treed land on the tranquil shores of McLaren Lake. The drive from Toronto is remarkably straight-forward. Shortly after getting off of the highway you will meander down a country road, come over a slight hill and be pleasantly surprised by this visually stunning structure that could be straight out of Architectural Digest.
The interior of the cottage is equally stunning with soaring 20 ft. ceilings in the great room, an open concept kitchen/dining/living room and a multitude of enormous windows making you feel one with nature even when you are inside the cottage.
The chef’s kitchen will be a joy to cook in featuring a 6 burner Wolf gas range and oven, 48” Sub-Zero refrigerator, a breakfast bar and plenty of counter space for prepping meals. Dine at the beautiful harvest table overlooking the lake then retreat to the living room and settle into the large comfortable sectional couch and enjoy after-dinner drinks in front of the wood-burning Stûv wood stove. A great feature of this smartly designed wood stove is that it can be rotated to face the dining area and kitchen, adding ambiance to your cooking/dining experience as well.
Off of the great room is a cozy bedroom with its own direct walk-out, originally designed with grandparents in mind, with a large walk-in shower and a separate bathroom just outside of its entrance.
The upper level has 4 tastefully decorated bedrooms, 2 on each end of the cottage, joined by a glass railed walkway overlooking the great room. The spacious lake-facing master bedroom is an oasis onto itself. Its beautifully appointed décor, combined with tree-top views of the lake from floor to ceiling windows are stunning. Take a few steps up to a large spa-like 4-piece ensuite featuring a free-standing bathtub, floating double-vanity and large open concept shower with rain head which all make for a great escape after a long day of cottage vacation activities.
Start your days off with an early morning coffee on the dock as the sun rises and a new day in paradise begins.
